Honestly, this was our 2nd time visiting since they opened 4 days ago. WHY??? Because it’s only like the most amazing AUTHENTIC IN-HOUSE PASTA made right here in Curaçao!!!
As a person who once visited Italy only to experience my single-most 2 favorite foods, pasta & pizza, I can attest that IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT.
Let me explain…
We had the lasagne & pepperoni pizza. The lasagne was EVERYTHING!!! It was incredibly light & robust in various flavors. And the pizza… we took the pizza to-go & let’s just say, it never made it home.
The ambience is one that I will always be a fan of because I love dining on the water & the open, airy atmosphere is especially nice in the evening, not to mention how they’ve totally restored life back into to one of the most unique locations here on the island. Hopi Bon!
The service was nice. No long wait time. We had one of the sweetest servers to wait on us & she answered all our questions & even recommended a great wine.
The staff, in general, were all very friendly. Even those behind the scenes. One of the chefs by the name of Gio, is very passionate about dishes & it we could taste it in every bite! The manager, Stefano was equally pleasant. He greeted us with a smile & bid us a warm farewell.
We even had the opportunity to meet the owners, Marco & Llaria, & they were equally a pleasure to meet. They each greeted us in their native kiss on each side of your cheek. It was like I was in Italy all over again! Very inviting AND a great sense of humor. You did your Italian heritage proud as we can definitely appreciate the addition to the diverse culture Curaçao breeds & embraces, which makes it all the more merrier!
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As a restaurant owner, it’s always a joy to support local business owners but it’s an absolute blessing when you are immediately greeted, timely served, food well prepared, attentively catered to & welcomed back. All are which are the makings of a great experience, & that’s just what we had at aRoma… A GREAT...

Read moreHad a really nice dinner here! The pizzas are huge, have a thin bottom, and are very tasty with authentic Italian toppings. One pizza can fit 2 smaller stomaches. Pizzas come uncut, with a cutter wheel, so you decide about the size of the slices. Of course, we had Tiramisu as dessert, but here it came with the lady fingers and coffee separated. Delicious, but different than usual. The location is great, the restaurant is fairly large and sort of hovering over the ‘Waaigat’. Lots of space between tables + chairs, so you’re not crammed into the back of your neighbors. Love birds can sit on a sort of boardwalk along the water. 4 stars for the ambiance, but only because it wan’t very crowded. All in all a very good Italian eating place with a real Italian Boss!...
