When looking for a nice sushi place last monday I remembered Fuso, I hadn't been there for ages... and I don't know why. The restaurant is small and cosy, there is outside seating, admittedly the view of the station isn't great but it is reasonably sheltered from any outside influences. We snook onto their terrace via a side entrance but were quickly spotted and made to feel welcome, carefully explaining our options. We were a bit late but were told not to worry there was still plenty of time to get our orders in. The all-you-can-eat menu has no special rules, just a time limit... Of course, order only what you are going to eat.
Quickly food started appearing and it was all very nice. Regular check ups and the occasional chat with the staff were very pleasant. One lady must have a photographic memory because she remembered me from years ago and mentioned that the restaurant had changed owners 3 times now.
Fair price, some drinks may even be considered cheap these days, lovely...
Read moreThe food here is generally good, and I’ve been enjoying their vegetarian wok with black pepper sauce for years. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. Toward the end of my meal, when only the sauce remained, I noticed several small pieces of beef in my plate.
When I brought this to the manager’s attention, her response was surprisingly dismissive. She told me, “You have to clearly say that you’re vegetarian.” I was taken aback—shouldn’t ordering a vegetarian dish clearly indicate that no meat, especially beef, should be included?
Her apology came across as arrogant, and the situation escalated when she remarked, “No need to come to this restaurant next time.” While the rest of the staff have always been polite and helpful, the manager’s attitude was shockingly lacking in professionalism and empathy.
I sincerely hope that, along with good food, this place can also serve better ethics and customer care...
Read moreHorrible place. We tried different sushi here. The rice tasted like it was made yesterday and left on the counter. Everything is super salty, and you can get everything on their menu better at the gas station. We also got some drinks, my girlfriend got a strawberry mojito which tasted like a mix of chewed lime-rind and grass. I confronted the server, and told her its the worst drink ever made, it tastes like straight mohito mixer. to which she replied "some people like it like that" and charged me for a drink we hardly touched. Oh, and did I say we waited 45min before we got three gyosas? Then after 15 min again we got our drinks. The another 15 min passes and we get the rest of our "food".
Absolutely horrible experience theough and through. Its even pretty expensive.
(They have all you can eat for 30euro tho 🙃)
Edit: we got food...
