Had dinner here on Saturday, 30 July 2016. It is a place that has some very delicious, authentic food, but mostly quick preparations of pre-made products. The bread that is offered on the menu seems to be generic, cheap Albert Heijn bread that is sliced and toasted with butter. The tsatziki seems to be purchased and not made at the restaurant. The salad I had was old, probably from a bag, and drowning in a strange vinaigrette. The sides I had included some very boring carrots and cabbage, and dried, oddly seasoned potatoes that were not given any love. We ordered the mix grill, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The meat was perfectly grilled, tender, and bursting with flavor, complemented by a side of fluffy rice that tied the meal together. The authenticity of the Turkish experience was evident in every bite.
Tekinev offers not just a meal, but a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Whether you're craving a late-night bite or seeking an authentic taste of Turkey, Tekinev is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
Read moreThe restaurant has very few vegan options but those dishes are delicious. I had the vegan mousakka (veggies - carrots, squash, zucchini, lentils, chickpeas, eggplants - steamed and prepared in spices). The dish came along with aromatic and flavorful rice and a bowl of freshly prepared salad. For dessert, the chef prepared vegan balls for me that were made of dates, fig, maple syrup, nuts and dark chocolate.
My food and the dessert were both excellent!! I messed up the picture of the main dish but adding a pic of the dessert.
PS- they do not accept ‘visa’ credit cards. You will be fine if you have a MasterCard though. I had to make payment via PayPal to the chef directly which is not something I prefer but appreciate that they were...
