⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Wonderful Brunch at Brownies & downieS Haarlem!

My husband and I had brunch here, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. We tried several dishes — a warm, comforting soup with soft bread and dip, a vibrant chicken salad packed with color and crunch, delicious loaded fries with pulled meat, and a flatbread topped with tangy red onions and cabbage. Every bite was thoughtfully made and absolutely delicious.

We finished with a cappuccino served on a little wooden tray with whipped cream and a brownie bite — such a charming touch!

The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and full of warmth — you can really feel the heart behind this place. The service was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do.

Visited on (SUN) possible most busiest weekends of the year for the whole town as Christmas market was on. We went for a late sandwich lunch @ 3pm till 4pm, the restaurant was full, we had fast drinks order taken quickly and when we were ready for food, we got the attention of one of the order takers. Drinks and food arrived fast enough, and correctly. Sandwiches ( Club) were big , soup was tasty , ( sandwiches and soup offered with 3 types of bread) . the apple pie was a good size with cream of course. We thought the whole team did a very good job . Parking around town was a struggle but to be expected on Xmas Market weekend but normally pretty good...

The place is not bad, and drinks are good. However, we ordered 2 portions of vegan plain falafel (clearly remarked while ordering) and got 2 non-vegan falafel pizza instead… told the server about the mistake and sent the order back. The plain falafel balls they brought us where quite different from the one on pizza, and what we got was actually disgusting, it felt like a slimy consistency and very “industrial”, also they didn’t give us plates, they just put a plate in the middle and was quite uncomfortable eating like this.
