We visited Teds Brunch twice. Once for brunch and once for High Tea. For brunch we ordered the Eggs benedict and the Teds Smash Burger and shared the Truffle fries. The smash burger was great. A well done classic bacon cheeseburger with a little tang from the sauce.
The Eggs Benedict is P e r f e c t. We got it for the brunch and high tea and they nailed the poached egg every time and the hollandaise sauce was really nice as well. We recommend the mushroom or ham personally, but the salmon wasn't bad.
The High Tea experience though? Definitely worth the value. The tea selection was a bit lacking but they make up for it with an incredible dining experience. All of the food and dessert was amazing and it was sooooooo much food. We had french toast, eggs Benedict, donuts and fried chicken, brownies, cheesecake and so much more. And they offer fresh add on to include in your tea such as orange and lemon slices and mint which was really nice when paired with their tea, but I do wish there were a few more tea variations.
Finally, I want to talk a little bit about the staff. The cooks did their thing back there. The first day we went there was a guy from Nebraska. He was throwing down on the prep. Teds has a little window into the kitchen and it felt a little awkward but it was interesting watching them prep the food.
And as for the wait staff Andrew and Chimene were wonderful. The vibe is very comfortable and casual. Andrew is a very hyperactive guy. He brings a lot of energy to the table I loved him and Chimene is a very pleasant and sweet lady. And they seem to just have fun while providing great service.
Overall, it was a great experience and we look forward to...
Read moreI tried to email with my complaint but the email address on the main TEDS website kept coming back with unable to deliver, so…. We visited on Sunday 12th November and there was one male member of front of house staff (I presume the manager!) he was incredibly rude. Most of the low scores mention a male member of staff who is rude- I can’t believe his attitude is aloud to continue. To sum it up- he is passive aggressive- blaming us for a wrong drinks order when the waitress didn’t put it into the system properly. My son has a dairy allergy and I informed them, only to be served a drink with dairy- lucky I tasted it first as this could be ending very differently. Allergies are really something good establishments should take seriously as they can be fatal. I certainly wouldn’t recommend for anyone with a serious allergy. He continued to run around the restaurants saying to people how busy they were, if anyone asked for ANYTHING. Barked at people at the door, ‘no booking can’t come in’ Our welcome was less than welcoming. Food was fine, pretty good. But the main reason for my complaint was we overheard him talking about us in Dutch (we understand some) due to splitting the bill. He was very rude. If this was a problem he should’ve said in a professional manner- like other places would’ve. Purely because of him- I wouldn’t visit again. This is my third visit and twice he has been there and twice has been rude. Definitely in the wrong profession. How the higher up management let this continue...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to one waiter. He was male, likely in his late twenties or early thirties, and spoke English. Initially, everything was fine as I was there with two female friends, but things changed when he took our order.
We began by ordering drinks. I named one drink, and then he abruptly interrupted and insisted that we should start with only ordering drinks first. I found this odd but didn’t think much of it, politely reassuring him that that was my intention. When we moved on to food, he was constantly interrupting us, making it seem like we were incompetent at ordering as he was sighing and expressing impatient behavior. He rudely suggested we order in Dutch, despite us speaking fluent English. He also got one drink order wrong, which of course can happen and is not a big deal, but I asked another waiter to correct it, because I really did not want to talk to the first waiter anymore. The other waiter was very friendly and helpful.
The worst part was when we were taking pictures of our food. The waiter rudely yelled at us to stop and start eating because our food was getting cold, which was unnecessary and embarrassing, as everyone in the restaurant could hear this.
Overall, his rude and hurried behavior made us uncomfortable, so much so that we decided not to order desserts. While it was busy and he seemed stressed, there was no excuse for his attitude. I’ve never experienced...
