We ordered a rijsttafel to share between two - this incurred an additional €7.5 since we were sharing one portion. The food was more than enough for the two of us. It came with a variety of sample dishes. As a Malaysian, the food wasn’t anything special to me. The flavours were similar to home, though I thought they could be spicier and less sweet. Nothing particularly stood out, but nothing was bad. Could be appealing to those who haven’t tried Indonesian food. Otherwise a cosy atmosphere.

We ordered the veggie and regular rice tables. Food was delicious, our server was wonderful. Each little plate was unique and flavorful. The restaurant is very comfortable, the chef was attentive and made sure our food was to our liking. Definitely recommend for a fancy but not too fancy night. We were stuffed!

Desde carnes tiernas y jugosas, verduras frescas, salsas intensas y especiadas, hasta acompañamientos crujientes y aromáticos. El arroz amarillo y el blanco fueron el complemento perfecto para equilibrar los sabores más potentes, mientras que las salsas picantes y los encurtidos aportaban un toque refrescante. Todo servido con una presentación muy cuidada, que hacía que cada platillo invitara a probarlo. Las porciones son generosas, perfectas para compartir, y la calidad de los ingredientes se nota en cada bocado. Además, el ambiente del restaurante es acogedor y el servicio muy amable y atento. Un lugar imprescindible en Haarlem si quieres disfrutar de auténtica comida indonesia en un entorno cálido y con mucho sabor.

My friends and I were staying in Haarlem for 10 days and we went to this beautiful restaurant twice for dinner and to experience their special dish Rijsttafel. Quality decreased, price increased... Service not great (even for normal Dutch service standards) they took away our glasses and we still had drinks in them (put finger in the glass). Ricetaffel was not varied, flavors were all the same. Bimi rames also not varied and meats all tasted the same.
