I personally really enjoy family owned businesses. There is a type of warmth about them and a great atmosphere. We had the surprise rice table for two, where you eat what you are given, everything was amazing and delicious. Great flavours, lots of variety, good amount. You will not leave hungry. The owners were very sweet and took great care of us. We really enjoyed our visit and strongly recommend it to anyone who likes Indonesian cuisine.

The couple who run this place are so very warm and inviting, delightful to be around. And the FOOD! Rice plate (Rames vegetarian special) was awesome, and the chicken satay was the best I’d ever had. Also: I am impressed by their air quality system. Even though guests are generally sitting in the kitchen, the cooking oils and spices somehow get swept upward without seeping into guests’ clothes or hair

Went here today 10 december for lunch. Had to wait more than an hour for our order of pangsit, 3 soup (small), omelet and nasi ramses klein. We should have been forewarned by the presence of other people waiting for their orders. They WERE VERY SLOW. My mie kopyok small was simply instant noodles with some chopped veggies and that took more than an hour! All our soups had no taste. It was not even worth the wait. Our friend had to leave without having eaten. A couple left - they arrived after we did - very disgruntled. It was not only slow, not tasty, it was also TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. Better go to an indonesian toko and you’d get cheaper and tastier food. Our meal was 68 euros (wt a small pot of tea as beverage. I want to post a picture i what you get for 27,90€ because it is completely ridiculous - you definitely get less than what you pay for. Before you walk into this place, ask how long the waiting time is. Even if they could cook they certainly do not know how to manage a restaurant. I want to tell the management to stop apologizing and just go and improve how you manage your kitchen! UPDATE: we had the rames vlees (small) and omelet (€27,90 together) to go because lunch time was just ridiculously taking too long. Turned out that taking them home was a waste effort (not to...

We’ve been waiting for more than 45 minutes for a meal even we came as a first guests at the restaurant. Portion are extremely small- chicken drumstick with a bone was served as a chicken piece but it was the so small that I got only 2 bites of the meat. I don’t eat too much and it was not enough for me, we went to another place to complete our dinner. Food it self was tasty, but they should bring the portions up or put the price down . I would feel ashamed to charge so much for appetiser size of portions serving as...

This was my first time having Indonesian food. It was absolutely delicious. Besides the tasty food, what really stood out to me was how friendly the owners of the establishment were. Since I was unfamiliar with the cuisine, one of the owners was nice enough to go through the menu with me and gave me recommendations. He also gave me recommendations for things to see in the city since it was my first time in Haarlem. Thank you for such a warm welcome. I would definitely...
