Baahu — Restaurant in Leidschendam-Voorburg

Hit and miss. My first time ordering (online) was in the first months of 2022, shahi paneer & alu naan. Especially the paneer cheese in combination with the curry was just sublime. It was this perfect curry texture, right amount of sweet & spicy and the paneer cheese was yum. I ordered this dish a couple more times because of how tasty and good it was, compliments to the chef back then. Then something happened in 2023… they might got new staff in the kitchen and the previous one left? Or use other ingredients. But it definitely wasn’t the same anymore compared to the year before. I could also just had a bad day of ordering but I felt the difference was too big for the same dish and of course the quality is expected to be consistent. I would describe it as lack of taste, curry consistency was below par. Unfortunately after that one time, I never went back again. I really wanna give it another shot soon but there is room to improve seeing the mixed reviews. Baahu, if you see this; the food was really good in early 2022, please get ahold of the old chef if that’s the case...

It's a halal restaurant.

Had a lamb Karahi with rice and naan. The lamb was nice and tender.

They have an open kitchen so you can see everything they prepare. Imo the food was delicious and very flavourful.

It's hard to find a good place to eat at the mall, most of the new places at the food court are mediocre, this place is exceptionally good.

Can highly recommend trying the Lamb Karahi here.

The staff is very friendly too.

Will be returning here when I'm around.

Second time I came here (around July) the food was not the same as the first time. It tasted watered down. Also not sure why they simplified their crockery with disposable ones.

I understand that my visit here was a few weeks after the restaurants were allowed to open up again. Unfortunately the food did not appeal to both my friend and I. We ordered a Karahi chicken and chicken tikka masala, both tasted like boiled chicken in a tomato juice gravy.
