La Bodega — Restaurant in Maastricht

The food was good, but not the best tapas I ever had. Which left us really disappointed for the evening, however, was the service. Apart from the fact we waited almost an hour for our food, while other tables got served like crazy, the waitresses did not ask us once for during our 2 1/2hours stay, if we wanted to order more drinks or food. Also our order was registered incorrectly, which left us with not enough food for everyone. Unfortunately, we realized „too late“ the order was wrong and we did not want to wait for another 60-90 min. Mixed quality of tapas for a big price. Nice terrace and interior. Fairly quick service as well. Unfortunately not all dishes are that well done. With squid I expect nice grill marks that give that nice BBQ flavour to it. Unfortunately it was pale and not the best flavours. The olives were a huge disappointment: boring and lack of flavour: we left most of them. The grilled vegetables were very little and therefore also way overpriced. The albondigas, shrimp croquettes and seabass were all tasty though. Bread and wine are expensive and tap water a €2,50 charge. I think it's overall overpriced for the general quality of...

My family and I went to this tapas restaurant yesterday. We were a party of 8 and all of them loved the food! We chose a huge variety of foods starting from the carbs (tortilla and boiled potatoes with paprika sauce) to protein (chicken, lamb chops, different sortiments of salami, croquettes, prawns and squids) (yes, we ordered a lot of things) and were so amazed by every food that came to our table. Drinks and foods were served very fast and very nice decorated restaurants/bistro It was a little bit pricey, but worth every penny of it
