Wall-Stock — Restaurant in Maastricht

I have a huge pleasure to visit Maastricht few times during the year (last time was during Carnival) and havent happened yet to not visit Wallstock at least once during my stay. I really love the atmosphere of this place, it’s not like a typical fast food restaurant where you order food, get it and leave. It’s a nice place to just sit and enjoy your food. From the burgers that they serve I think The Old Dutch is my favourite one, combination of a beefburger, nice cheese and onionrings in between - soo soo good!!! 👌👌👌 And cause I am more fan of chicken than beef, I choose their chicken salad more often than burgers - dont know what they add there but a bit spicy and a bit sweet flavour is sth I can definitely recommend. Aaand if we talk about food its hard not to mention beer😂🙈 They have quite big choice of beers but unfortunaly I cant say much in that case and most of the time I dont know which one I should choose, thats why I usually ask for advice someone from waiters 🙈😂 Luckily they usually find some time (and patience) to recommend me one of those which I havent tried yet. Really appreciate it, guys! The only one thing that I DIDN'T LIKE was that their regular menu wasnt available during carnival… It’s understable ofc - a lot of people inside, outside, impossible to serve food then. But they made kind of a nice compensation cuz you could order food straight from the kitchen - which I did as you can guess and was positively surprised 🤗🤗 Food served quickly even if there were crowds downstairs. 5/5 in...

We ordered the Surf and Turf platter. The fish was just ok. The cod seemed pre packaged, probably frozen. The turf was the nightmare here. The first round was on a skewer, the meat was completely dried out and overcooked. Clearly reheated. When we complained to the manager he did try to rectify by bringing a second skewer. The tiny piece of steak was better, and medium rare as we had ordered it, but it was so small, maybe 20 grams. This on a plate normally costing over 24 euro. I had booked my reservation with a discount deal, but if I had paid full price I would have jumped in the river. The veg on the skewer the second time were barely warm and raw. No seasoning. Maybe the real cook was on vacation? Skip this place. Maybe some other things on the menu are better, but no one should have to risk...

Really rude, and impolite manager. We ordered some drinks after a long time that it took that they bring it to us. The drinks served were consistently subpar, with flavors that were off and quality that left much to be desired. The ice coffee that two of us ordered was awful, and we complained about the quality and the taste respectfully. I refused to pay for this drink that I couldn’t have even more than one sip, and asked them to change. The manager of this restaurant displayed abysmal behavior towards us, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and respect. Interactions were marred by rudeness and dismissive attitudes, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
