Preps — Restaurant in Maastricht

I discovered this place a couple of days ago, when I was in dire need of a take-out cappuccino. The place looked hip, with hip people enjoying their beverages inside.

First of all: the cappuccino was delicious. A mild espresso, velvety milky mouthfeel and great foam. The temperature could have been higher for those of you out there who like burning your throats and scalding the tongue. For me, however, the temperature was more than up to par. I was even offered a second paper cup for the heat.

The service is quick, polite and professional, all of this with a smile. I felt really welcome. The interior is simple but adequate. A large reading/working table is placed with magazines and reading lamps.

On the menu is what you expect from a hip downtown coffee bar like this: coffees, teas, cakes and daily food suggestions like: soup, wraps, pasta etc.

There is even a small vintage clothing corner where you can wrap yourself in some clothes after you enjoyed your stay and wish to buy a new piece for your wardrobe.

The music is chill (sing & songwriters) both times I walked in. Not my cup of tea, but not disturbingly loud, so I'm good.

The prices are more than fair for the quality of service and beverages...
