Water's Edge was the first dinner in Aruba and we selected here to go to celebrate the first night of our honeymoon. We choose one of the tables in the sand and it was truly awesome taking off our flip-flops and digging our feet in the sand as we had happy hour priced drinks and appetizers to start. The drinks were delicious and less than 6 bucks each. The Cesar salad was very crisp and fresh and the escargot was awesome. We both loved the Ahi Tuna and Island Apricot glazed chicken. We thought the coconut flan was the best ever (including nice custom warm caramel message to us written in the dessert). Our server Shaira was so friendly and attentive. She was always nearby without hovering. She checked back several times during each course and made the first night of our honeymoon extremely special. At the end, the Owner, Roy personally came out to congratulate us and gave us a bottle of champagne to take home with us. Truly a memorable first night of great food watching the sunset. The live saxophone serenade was great too.

Great ambiance, service and food.We had dinner here our last night in Aruba (February 2023). Our waitress was very friendly. We both had the 12 ounce steak with seasonable vegetables and we were allowed to substitute the mashed potatoes for sweet potatoes at no extra cost. The food tasted great.great portions too. Best sweet potato fries on the island! There was a delay with our food due the the large number of guests dining that night but to make up for the delay we were given free alcoholic drinks which was fine with us! We will definitely return here next time we are in Aruba. I have edited this as we came back in January 2024, and while food was still good, the service was not. The three of us waited a while to get served and once we received our main meals, our server forgot about us for so long that one of us had to go to the bar to request more water! The hostess that seated us at the table was also a little bit snippy. I didn’t care for her attitude.

Soooooo damn good order the snapper! Water’s Edge Restaurant in Aruba is an absolute gem if you’re looking for a laid-back, fun spot right by the beach. The vibe here is all about good times, with stunning ocean views, refreshing drinks, and super tasty food that hits the spot every time. Whether you’re coming for lunch, dinner, or just to grab a drink while soaking in the sunset, Water’s Edge has it all. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, from fresh seafood to juicy burgers, all with that Caribbean flair. The drinks are equally amazing—whether you’re in the mood for a tropical cocktail or a chilled beer, they’ve got you covered. It’s the perfect place to relax with friends, enjoy a date night, or even just treat yourself to a great meal in paradise. The atmosphere is fun, casual, and welcoming, making you feel like you’re on vacation the moment you step in. If you’re in Aruba, Water’s Edge is definitely a must-visit!

Party of 4, came here for dinner without reservations and were told we had to sit in a booth by the resort pool, despite the place being empty. Weird and sort of annoying, but whatever. Not one person liked their drink. My wife ordered the dirty banana and got a glass of Pinot. I got the special and it was basically sugary juice. We ordered the calamari and it was a few plain rings with nothing else but a dipping sauce. The booth we were in had a straw roof and no lights, so we couldn’t see each other or our food.

Not a single person enjoyed their meal either. I have a feeling they only know how to cook steak a certain way. I ordered the steak special, the waitress asked if I wanted it medium(after asking my friend if he wanted his steak medium) and I replied that I’d like it medium rare. I got a stringy, overseasoned piece of fat that was just wrong in every way. It came with fries that weren’t cooked. My wife got the chicken parm. I tried a bite and it also tasted strange.

Our waitress was friendly and brought over lights when we explained we’d like to be able to see what we’re eating, but the service was slow. I can’t believe the reviews of this place are so high after our visit today. Go to Matthew’s instead, the food...

Good, but not worth a second visit.

Water’s Edge provides a nice venue outside for a pleasant dinner, but . . . There are so many Palapa’s you can barely see the water. This make sunset viewing not the best.

While other ratings provide a sense of “very good”, this reviewer didn’t find the same experience. The restaurant is part of a hotel complex which is a bit dated. There is a large bar as you walk in which is more of a local watering hole than something inviting for a nice dinner.

Our sever was very nice but unfortunately too helpful, showing up to the table every 5 minutes to ask if our food was OK, or we needed anything. A bit over the top.

For dinner we stated with salads which were nice but standard far. No imagination and noting that would stand out in a conversation. We both had grouper which was prepared quite well, served with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Portions were plentiful but not supersized.

Overall the experience was underwhelming. We had never been here before and the rating projected something it isn’t. Be wary of reviews from early bird dinners. If you have a choice there are much better restaurants to enjoy while...

My husband & I went to Water's Edge for a sunset dinner since we did not make reservations in time for one of the other restaurants. We were not right on the beach (like Passions in Aruba), but we were outside & have a decent view of the beach. There was a very romantic & relaxing atmosphere. A lady was singing love songs, & she was very good. The wind was blowing, which is normal for Aruba, so you have to hold on to your napkins. Lisa was our server, & she was fantastic! She took very good care of us. Our food was delicious! We had the ceviche for an appetizer. For dinner, I had tuna & my husband had the grouper. The only thing that we didn't like is that we pretty much had to double tip. They charged us 15%, but Lisa explained that this goes to all the staff, her, bartenders, etc...so we felt obligated to tip her separately. So we paid 15% service charge & another 20% to the server. So our bill for our food was about $100, & then we paid like $35 tip total. It's fine because we don't go to fancy places like this all the time, but I wanted others to be prepared because some places (like in Miami, too) do this. At least, the service & food was excellent, so it...
