Five Guys Rotterdam — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Really great quality food! Even though the prices might seem a bit discouraging on the surface (approx 12 euros for a cheeseburger), the size/saturation of the burgers combiend with the fact that you can get free additional toppings more than makes up for it. I had a cheeseburger around noon today, and I honestly I was fully saturated and didn't need to eat anything else the entire day besides a very small dinner!

For service, I did rate 4/5 because the service itself wasn't too applicable to us today. However, the meals were prepared quite quickly and it was easy to pick up the food at a central point (we were seated indoors close to the counter though, it might have been a bit of a different experience if we were outdoors).

Regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant was extremely clean without any sort of 'busy distractions' or bright colors to draw attention, it felt like a genuine unassuming restaurant (which was the main reason why I wanted to eat here in the first place). The menu itself is also rather small, which is perfect to prevent any sort of 'choice paralysis'; I would rather see 5 items that are all prepared with high quality than a bloated menu with 30 different items.

You know when you feel hungry and you have about a thousand things that you want to eat rolling around in your head, well this was not that. I definitely felt like a burger, like a tightly focused laser beam. My brain was saying burger, burger, BURGER. So who was I to argue. I opened google maps a looked for a good burger place and found five guys. I had the bacon burger and added lettuce, mayo and mustard. The bun was soft and fluffy but did not crumble away. The 2 patty’s (which was a surprise) were large cut mince and really tasty and perfectly cool, the bacon was just how I like bacon. Crunchy crunchy crunchy. Quite frankly I think this has to one of the best burger I have ever had top 2 for sure. And the chips, oh left not for get about the chips. Cut with skin on which I prefer and crunchy. Awesome chips. Plus that always over full the pack. If you want a burger go here. I was not a big fan of the place’s decor. I do t like wall to wall while tiles makes me feel like is a bathroom, but...

When it comes to taste, Five Guys is hands down the best fast-food chain out there. The burgers are amazing, and what makes the experience special is that there’s no fixed menu, you build your own burger with as many toppings as you like. On top of that, drinks come with free refills, which is always a plus.

The restaurant itself isn’t always spotless, but to be fair, that’s often more because of the guests than the staff. The team does their best to keep things as clean as possible.

The only real downside is the price. For the cost of a meal for two (a burger, fries, and drinks), you could almost enjoy a quality steak dinner at a sit-down restaurant. Unlike chains like Burger King or McDonald’s, Five Guys is definitely NOT cheap. It’s actually very expensive for what is essentially a fast-food burger meal.

Still, if taste is what matters most, Five Guys delivers like no other...
