I come here very often, once a month. If you only expect good food and don't expect too much from the service, then you can enjoy your evening here. If you want both service and good food, better go somewhere else (unless you are non-asian).
Food: Overall the food is delicious (4/5): My favorite dish is the cumin lamb. A must-try if you visit them. The chili boiled fish really depends on the quality of the fish, but last time I ate it, the fish was really smelly (腥). The aubergine is always very oily. The sizzling beef is delicious, but it also depends on the quality of the food that day. Medium spicy is enough.
Service (0/5): If you expect service, don't go here, and here's why:
Every time I come here the service is really bad. When you want to order food, they just don't get the hint when you're sitting at the table with all menus closed and everyone is looking at her or just chit-chatting while waiting until someone comes to take your order. Instead, you have to call them many times before they'll take your order.
When she's bringing something, she says nothing and just throws it on the table and runs away. Not even trying to introduce the dishes.
The waitress is always side-eyeing every Chinese customer, but always smiling to the non-Asian customers (in order to get tips, I think, since Chinese customers don't often give tips - it's not part of the culture). I've been here many times with only Asian friends and also times with only Dutch friends, and you can really feel the difference in service you get.
Their reservation system is non-existent. Every 1 out of 3 times, there are no tables available even though you made a reservation. The waiting time can be up to an hour for your table then.
When multiple tables want to order food, they will serve the food not based on who ordered first, but just randomly. So sometimes it happens that when you have all your food on your table, the last dish will be served 20 minutes later because they gave the dish (which was yours in the first place) to another table.
If you don't have any drinks left, they can't see that you finished your drinks and ask if you want a new one. Instead, you have to try many times to get their attention in order to get another drink - and again with a side-eye when they see you. They also ignore tables on purpose. A few times they were cleaning a table, but everyone could see from that position that someone was waving at her and others in the corner of her eye, but she would just ignore it.
If you ask nicely for the bill, she will say "just go to the counter" and walk away. At the counter, if I'm with my Dutch friends, it's always smiling, asking "was the food delicious?", "thank you for visiting", "see you next time" with a smile. If I'm with my Asian friends, she says nothing, just typing the numbers into the terminal, says nothing, gives you the bill and walks away - not even a "thank you" or "see you next time".
No air conditioning, even during the summer when it's...

Updated October 2018 Quality is exceptional. But, service has become a tad inefficient. The usual waitresses aren't around in full strength anymore, so service has become a tad slower.
Most disappointing, however, is the fact that the restaurant runs out of complete portions of their menu early in the evening. On two occasions, we've arrived for a 7pm dinner service on Sunday to find out that no fish dishes were available as the restaurant had run out of fish. It is rather unacceptable that they run out of produce so early in the service. The garlic fish used to be an exceptional dish, but it has sadly been taken off the menu.
Original review: Excellent Sichuan food. Consistently good, everytime on the mark. Very efficient service, no nonsense. Food is excellent. Recommend chicken of the chilli garden, cumin lamb and garlic fish....
Read moreWas so excited that I found a Sichuan restaurant and then was so badly let down by this place. I’m hoping that it was just my dish that was not prepared well but I don’t think I’ll ever be going back to find out. Ordered Kung pao chicken, noodles and dumplings - Paid 30 euros. It’s hard to find words to describe the food because it was absolutely horrifying. The Kung pao chicken had something overpower the entire flavor and give it a really bad lingering flavor that is still lingering in my mouth. I had to wash it down with alcohol, ice cream and brush my teeth and I’m still suffering from what i can only describe as a traumatizing flavor. My whole evening has been ruined my this meal because of the traumatizing flavor of the food. I love Sichuan food and unfortunately this restaurant has left me traumatized and I don’t think I’ll be looking for Sichuan food for a while. I’m not exaggerating, it really...
