Misleading!! Avoid!!! If your intension is to eat and relax, don't choose this place! You will have to remember too many rules which you never even had when you were in the military school.
The deal is EUR 28 per-person for all-you-can-eat.
Rules: You are only given 90 minutes. You can only order 4 items within one round The food will be delivered within 10 minutes. Until that you can't order more items. After the next 10 minutes the app allows you to select another 4 items for the next round If you couldn't finish a dish you ordered, you will be charged extra
We thought it would be okey and sat there. The waiter came multiple times and asked do we need any drinks. Usually we order something before we order the food; but we were sort of confused because of the rules. It's funny, but those the rules :D . Since it was more like a game rather than sitting in a restaurant with the idea of enjoying a meal, we didn't feel like drinking a beer or soda or anything. So strangely, we didn't order any drinks. Since the waiter kept pushing us a few times for a drink, I sarcastically told my friends "Dude, these guys have only more two rules left. If they imposed those 2 also, eating here would have been like living in Alcatraz for the customers. "Rule 1: You must buy drinks, or else we will charge extra money!" "Rule 2: You must use those Japanese chopsticks to eat everything, or else we will charge extra money!!"
Then once we finished eating after 3 rounds of sushi, the waiter said that we must order at least one drink! Ironically, that was the Rule 1which I sarcastically assumed!!! That was RIDICULOUS!!!
Because, that wasn't even a rule they have mentioned anywhere or at least mentioned before we sit. He said that drink can be even a coffee. So we looked for the warm drinks and realised that those drinks are not even included in the EUR 28 per person price. It's additional!!! I wonder how this place don't lose their license for having this sort of a ridiculous rule. We didn't want to argue for that money as we anyway had the option to select Hot Chocomel, which we were looking for yet didn't find in other places we went. But as a restaurant that charges EUR 28 per-person for average quality sushi and Chinese fried finger food, why do they such cheap things to add a few more Euros under each person's bill in an unethical manner? Even if they market that it as 28 EUR per person, you cannot practically leave without paying EUR 30+ because of this rule...
Read moreThat’s true that mostly customers are writing reviews when they’re not satisfied. I will try to leave good reviews at other places more after this visit, because the contrast is huge. I wish I could rate -100⭐️ here. The story: We reserved a table for 2 for my birthday. We came excited and waited at the entrance for like 5-7 minutes for someone to meet us. During this waiting time our excitement went a bit down. Then a woman (I guess a manager) came to greet us. As we know now it was for so long because she was chilling with her friends or family. She found a place for us in the corner. But she didn’t like the fact that next to it a customer in a wheelchair was taking too much space. Of course we felt awkward and tried to stop her while she was screaming at that customer, because obviously there was enough space for us and a wheelchair is not a problem at all. But this manager showed a hand ✋🏻 to our faces, meaning ‘shut up’. Extremely rude. And continued to scream at that person. Other people noticed that and stood up for rights of a person on a wheelchair. So she immediately ran away. The next table she offered was just at the entrance, it was not nice, because everyone was walking through this space. So we asked for another table, because this restaurant was half empty. She said that in that case we would need to pay a double price, because they have 4 people tables only. We asked to give us time to think, because we were overwhelmed by her behaviour and stayed at that table at the entrance. While we were thinking what to do a waitress came to take an order. But we asked her is it possible to complain about that manager. The answer was ‘she is even worse to me, she is always like this when it’s busy’. After that we 100% decided to leave that place forever. But OMG we noticed that in the meantime she was chilling with her friends or family at the big table, while drinking wine. Drinking wine during her working hours. 🥴🥴🥴 Feels like she has a position of a manager only because she’s working at that place for many years, not because she deserves this and knows something about customer service. Actually, we have a feeling she doesn’t know bare minimum of a basic customer service. Thanks, Shabu Shabu for tolerating toxic behaviour of your employees and giving us unforgettable experience of drunk, rude, toxic, and awful service. Thanks to you I will appreciate other...
Read moreHad a very BAD experience there today. DON'T GO WITH BABIES... Went with my wife and 1-y old baby. It was 14:00 hours (2pm) and the restaurant was not full... there were a LOT of empty tables! Asked for a bigger table because of the baby that, without knowing (only 1-y), bangs on the plates and dishes and food and can break them or get hurt. After a lot of explaining they let me seat on a terrible table (but bigger). After taking all the jackets and taking the baby out of the stroller, another waiter forbid us to sit there saying that we HAD TO SIT on a smaller table that should be something around 50x50cm or less). Talked to the manager that after a lot of discussion agreed to put on a reasonable table. By then (10 minutes standing) there was no more mood to eat there, my wife was shocked by the service, we got out. By the way, I asked them and there were no reservations for those free tables (everybody in Rotterdam knows that this time on the afternoon every restaurant is not full).
Got out of there surprised and frustrated with the kind of attention they give to their customers. Being owner or manager of a restaurant I would NEVER be disrespectful like that to...
