The Rumah — Restaurant in Rotterdam

It's a cozy bar it got that 60's look with a modern twist. Nice interior where you immediately feel at home. The Bar definitely adds a new taste to the city. The Bartenders are very knowledgeable about drinks and are friendly. The service is great and the drinks are very Instalikable.

Rumah is a nice place to meet new people. You can easily work there on your laptop, or read a book.

On Friday and Saturday is Rumah a great place to start your night before heading to a club party.

Next to that it's the perfect place for a date or a first date.

When it's not to buzy, the bartenders can make a very special drink for you. With your preference and their vision of it. Something that's not on the menu. Everytime I walk in I try to test them but they keep on impressing me. No wonder that they have won a couple of bartender awards.

If you want to give a Birthday or Bachelorette party it's possible.

Its not that big. But on the other hand that's exactly what makes it cozy and gives a personal feel.

They are not open till 6 in...

For fans pf the Late Dr. Rotterdam cocktail spot (you know if you know) this is quite extremely close when it comes to serious cocktail game in this city. Please absolutely try the pina colada. Just marvelous. And the waiters that work there, props to those lads too. They candidly advise what you might like and it really feels like they care that they work there wich is quite rare to find in a good /bar in the Netherlands. If your looking for place for a smaller gathering this is absolutely a prime choice. Also a tastefully decorated interior and space with very comfortable seating. The music was a bit too backroundish, and the sounds of the cocktail preparing will settle you abit off if your not used to that. But the bottom line this place is definitely...

A work of art. I love when bartenders are truly passionate about their craft. The menu and theme are timeless. Every drink is explained by the bartender upon presentation. I am not a rum fan, but I highly recommend trying this cocktail room out. I will be back! The pink drink is "Booby Trap," and the other is "This is America."

Update one week later: We came back! This time featuring "Pinga" and "Devil in Disguise." Our waiter was kind enough to ask if we enjoyed a more savory/olive flavored drink because our first choice would have been Fragata. He said if you wanted something sweeter, then this likely wasn't the best choice, which swayed our selection. Maybe next time, but I appreciated...
