A Disappointing Experience with Price and Service at Restaurant By Ami
I recently dined at Restaurant By Ami and unfortunately had a highly unsatisfactory experience. Despite initially being enticed by their enticing menu offerings, particularly the grand dessert priced at 16 euros, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment and frustration.
Upon placing our order for the grand dessert, my dining companion, kids and I were under the impression, based on the menu description, that the dessert was intended for two people (it’s was for kids) However, to our dismay, when the bill arrived, we discovered that we had been charged double the advertised price for the dessert. It became apparent that the restaurant failed to disclose this crucial information to us prior to placing our order.
This blatant discrepancy between the menu description and the actual pricing is not only misleading but also deceitful. It's evident that Restaurant By Ami prioritizes profit over transparency and customer satisfaction. By intentionally omitting pertinent details about the pricing, they engaged in deceptive practices that ultimately resulted in us feeling cheated and taken advantage of.
Moreover, the lack of communication regarding the pricing discrepancy demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer service. Instead of addressing the issue proactively or informing us of the actual cost before finalizing our order, the restaurant chose to remain silent, hoping we wouldn't notice the inflated charges.
As a patron who values honesty, integrity, and fair business practices, I am deeply disappointed by the unscrupulous behavior exhibited by Restaurant By Ami. I urge potential diners to exercise caution and consider the restaurant's questionable ethics before patronizing their establishment. It's evident that their deceptive pricing tactics and lackluster customer service overshadow any potential culinary delights...

I recently visited By Ami in Den Haag, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered the Caesar salad, expecting a classic and well-executed dish. What I received was anything but. The chicken wasn’t even recognizable as chicken breast—just random, unappealing cuts of meat. Furthermore there were no pieces of cheese on top. To make matters worse, there was almost no dressing, leaving the salad tasteless and dry.
Then came the Chicken Injection Sandwich, which was baffling, to say the least. The flavors didn’t work together, and it felt like an attempt at creativity gone horribly wrong. To top it off, there were random nacho chips thrown on the plate, which screamed desperation rather than culinary thoughtfulness. Honestly, to the chef: Did you really think this was a good idea?
This experience was a massive letdown. For the price and the reputation, I expected far better. I wouldn’t recommend By Ami to anyone—not even to my worst enemy. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place at all costs.
Edit: It’s a shame you decided to get defensive instead of taking the feedback on board. Maybe focus on improving the food and experience instead of throwing out rude, butthurt responses. That would probably do more for your restaurant than...
Read moreFirstly, and the most obvious, the setup and overall design of inside By Ami is really beautiful. This place is instagrammable from every corner and angle. I love the decor and the atmosphere, it gives you such a warm welcome and happy vibe to dine.
As for the food, this was enjoyable, especially the loli pop chicken - this is a must have. I genuinely enjoyed the food sharing concept as it ties in nicely with the cozy decor of the place. The food here is good, I’d say pretty average with no exceptional rating. But still a place I’d recommend.
One thing I was not a fan of were the cocktails. For the prices, I was quite disappointed with the quality.
But overall we had a nice experience and a big thanks to the waitresses that provided real...
