Casa Argentina — Restaurant in The Hague

We went there with party of 4. I’ll start with quality of food, which was good, nothing outstanding but nothing wrong with our meal neither… although salad bar was missing some of the salads… We were waiting almost an hour to be able to order main dish which some people wouldn’t mind but if you know what you want and you are hungry it might get frustrating….We ordered bread for the beginning which is 2€ for one piece what I find very ridiculous for what you get… About staff…Wouldn’t find them friendly - particularly a guy who was taking our orders…Was quite surprising since high standards in hospitality from the other restaurants around the centrum… Overall I would say price match the quality but as I said for us first and last time just because of waiting time and unfriendly environment… 4 stars for food 2...

Steaks (fillet) were badly stitched together with glue, using glue is fine nowadays but pieces fell out of my steak and the coloring was different in each part. Taste wasnt good(too much pepper). Looks like an indian place now as there are no spanish-speaking staff at all. Rip off prices as we ordered fries and salads with our main course, had to pay 7.50 euro each for it while other restaurants add it without extra costs.

Carpaccio came out of the freezer and was brown of color. The middle part was still very cold, while the part close to the edge of the plate was at room temperature.

I dont know where all the good reviews come from, but this restaurant has changed a lot if it ever was any good!

One of the cities best known places to get a good steak. They have two locations now, they must be doing something right. One in de Korte Houtstraat and the other, the first one in de Kettingstraat. You can order a la carte but they also feature 2 or 3 tourist menu. Argentine steak or ribeye comes with french fries and use of the salade bar which is self service. They ask you how you like your meat, then grill it to perfection on charcoal. I like mine medium rare. They sure offer some decent wines, last time the waiter advised a slightly more expensive Malbec. Yes, red ofcourse. Can't drink white wine with red meat. It certainly did not disappoint me.
