Athene Palace Den Haag — Restaurant in The Hague

I was visiting The Hague, walking through the center when I saw the restaurant so in my mind first thought was “this must be awesome Greek food” but I did not had the time to stay and eat there so I sneaked myself inside and ordered for to go. I’m very sorry the server that took my order didn’t told me he’s name but thank you sir! After scrolling the menu I asked him if they have the famous traditional lemon baked potatoes and he told me they do not have that so I asked for grilled octopus and some fried zucchini, my order was ready pretty fast and I was good to go. Home when I opened the bag I noticed he did put a tray with baked lemon potatoes and I’m eating right now and typing this review and I just want to say thank you again because I was craving those potatoes for 2 weeks now and couldn’t find it anywhere, and the grilled octopus, omg!! I always go to the little gyros corner. Usualy I have the grilled chicken plate. Meat from the flat top grill, mini pita bread, french fries a bit of greek salade and fesh creamy rich tzatziki. Mostly it takes only about 5-6 minutes for the food to arrive. This food corner is all about fast food, but good food! The people here are so professional. I've seen them crank out food for 30-40 customers without any hicups or stops. And no one waits longer then 10 minutes! There's lots of meats in this snack style of Greek cuisine but there are also vegetarian options. Like Pita Veggie and the famous Greek Salade. They have softdrinks, water, wine and dutch aswell as greek beer. My favorite, the Grilled Chicken Filet meal goes for 11 euro, cant beat that. Sevice is fast and friendly. This is such proper food. I went to Athene Kitchen Palace the other day feeling a bit hungry and looking for just a small lunch. The gyro was so delicious it was like a “Ratatouille” moment, remembering a very good meal I had some time back in Athens. After my meal I said to myself I have to take three gyros and some fries for a few friends. After getting my order and returning to their place of work, I saw three more of my friends were also there. So I returned to the Kitchen Palace AGAIN and ordered another three gyros (one vegetarian) and two more dishes of fries.
