Chicko’s BBQ Piri Piri — Restaurant in The Hague

By far the blatantly RUDEST service I've ever encountered! Whomever I spoke with on the phone behaved explicitly disprectful and ignorant. First of all they state that delivery is 20 minutes and even put on the deliveroo receipt that it was delivered an hour earlier than it actually was. It took an 1hr 20 mins instead. Secondly when I called the first I found the employee to be very brief and offputting, he just said "yeah I know it's on the way". As if that wasn't enough the delivery was missing an item then when I called about it I told them I didn't need it delivered anymore and I would prefer a refund if that's possible. He said yes but they have more important things to do now. Anyone with even a basic understanding of customer service would know to never say such a thing. This review has been long enough so I won't further explain all the other rude and disrespectful things he said. This is the first and definitely the last time I will order from this place. First time I visit this place. The moment you walk in you see the chicken and sardines rotating in grill racks over a charcoal fire. It's beautiful! The sardines look mouthwatering good but are only an experiment so not available yet. The owner is a nice guy, emediately we start talking like we were good friends. The menu is simple, but simple is good if that means quality food! I order half a chicken for 5,25 and that is a decent price. The half chicken is cut, placed in a paper box (very good, no plastic box) then the chef pours a scoup of home made piri-piri sauce over it then tops it with marinated green olives: I'm in heaven now! Over the past 3 years I have ordered. Food is tasty but the delivery service is so bad, every single time I need to wait almost 2 hours for my food. Today is the worst wait, so I must write this review unfortunately.

Why can’t they outsource it to the Uber eats or other drivers if they can’t do it themselves ? Each time I also need to follow up with a call and they say oh yea your food is here sorry (probably sitting on the counter for 1 hour). If you want to eat here - prepare to wait hours or go there...
