Let me start this review with one piece of advice: go early! There are only about 10 tables inside and just 3 outside. I arrived around 12:00–12:30, and the place was already nearly full. I ended up sitting outside, which was actually quite nice since it was a warm day. A few people came looking to eat but left because there was no space.
Another important note: payment. They accept cash, and I believe they don’t take card payments. When I asked to pay with a card, they gave me a QR code to pay via bank transfer (like a Tikkie). So if you’re a tourist without a Dutch bank account or cash, keep that in mind!
I found this spot while looking for a healthy place to eat in Den Haag, and I’m glad I did. The waiter was friendly and quick to serve. He recommended one of their specialties — the Eggplant Fattah — and it was a great choice.
The food came surprisingly fast and was absolutely delicious. Creamy, flavorful, with crunchy toppings that reminded me of fried tortillas — a great texture contrast.
Overall, a really nice experience. If I’m ever back in Den Haag, I’ll definitely stop by again to try...
Read moreSuch a warm environment and tasty offerings. The owner is hands on and super friendly. The dishes are Authentic and prepared freshly upon order with attention to detail. The service is fast and homy - on your way out you’re greeted with a cookie on the house (which I thought was so cute)! The plates we tried that I would recommend: Falefel (you can choose to have it as a sandwich, plate, or a side dish) - I went with the side order which comes with 4 patties as I also wanted to try other items on the menu. I thought it was really nice that you also get to choose to have them the regular way or topped with sesame. I love sesame so I recommend going for the latter. fatteh. To me this is comfort food on the healthier/proteinate side. It’s made with a special yogurt/tahineh sauce and topped with crispy bread and cashew nuts. foul with chickpeas (we chose the one with lemon/olive oil sauce) it comes with a side of pickled cucumbers/turnips. Very tasty. tabbouleh was good too (however I do prefer it with a bit less bulgur. All in all a lovely place that I highly recommend and...
Read moreFalafel en Hummus in The Hague is a spot that totally flipped my perspective – and I’m a meat lover! No half-measures here – the falafel is crispy perfection, juicy inside, and the hummus? Creamy poetry with tahini and garlic that just blows you away. Add-ons like baba ganoush or tabbouleh hit the bullseye – fresh, fragrant, and perfectly in sync. In the Netherlands, you rarely stumble upon such flavor, but every bite here is a firecracker. It looks like a masterpiece and tastes even better. At Raamstraat 13, the vibe is cozy, the staff knows their stuff, and the prices (6-10 euros) are spot-on for this quality. This isn’t just a eatery – it’s my find of the year, outshining plenty of meat joints. I recommend it with all my heart – pure...
