Contrary to previous experiences with this restaurant, reserving for a large group caused some issues this time. There was a miscommunication about the group size because we changed it by phone later on, which apparently wasn't put through - March 19th, approximately a quarter to four, if the owners wish to check their phone logs. We ended up being charged about 75 EUR extra, but even worse, much superfluous food was wasted. The owner claimed the food was already prepared, considering that these pizza's arrived an hour after we arrived, I find that claim wild.

To ensure everything was in order, I arrived 20' early. A staff member insisted my group was already in, and falsely sent me around to several random groups. Weird and it suggests they don't keep proper track of their reservations.

Service-wise we were offered one drink and many of us had to ask for a second one. Waiting staff seemed to avoid us.

The quality of the food also seems poorer than at previous visits, but not bad.

We are surprised, because we were used to smooth reservations and great service, but now are considering other hosts for...

We order a bbq chicken pizza and a Pesto Pollo Maccheroncini with extra chicken coz I chose a vegetarian pasta and added chicken as topping. The pizza was good as usual although I saw there was a increase in price and the pizza was thinner than before. The pasta order was wrong, I ordered pesto, pasta and they brought me the regular chicken version and added more chicken on that. I started eating and was engrossed in conversation to then later realize that it was not pesto. By that time I had eaten 4 spoons already. The server who took the order said she would charge for the extra chicken anyway, and did not bother to apologize. An order mix up is acceptable but not apologizing is rude. We ate what was served, not a problem. After finished eating we wanted to order dessert and wanted to ask for the menu but the waitress straight away asked how we want to pay without even bothered to ask whether we want anything else or if we liked the food, nothing, just poker face standing there with the Bill in her hand, as if we ate for free. If this is the kind of service Losteria is offering I rather not come...

What I see in this restaurant is great potential. The pizzas served are very good and extraordinarily large (definitely value for money).

On the contrary everything else lacks taste. The pasta dishes simply have no flavour to distinguish them from one another. Reading other reviews it is clear that should the restaurant improve on the quality of its other dishes and tastefulness, it could easily become a 5/5.

The interior is rustic and beautiful and the staff is efficient and polite. It has a wide catalogue selection and especially when it comes to the drinks menu with emphasis on the cocktails. What is also very interesting is the different and rare types of pasta chosen for serving (eg. Orecchiette).

Overall the lack of any taste and volume in the pasta is a great disadvantage to an otherwise good Italian restaurant. This shortcoming overhauls the positive aspects of L’Osteria as it is unacceptable for a restaurant that serves Italian food, to serve such bland...

As I’ve eaten from here several times before, I was looking forward to having another go at the menu, this time with a group. All of my previous visits, I’ve had tried the pizzas which were all pretty good. This time around I decided to try out one of the pastas and I must say that I was quite disappointed. There was really no flavour to the pasta, just drenched in cream which also made it less appetising. The chicken pieces that were part of it tasted pretty alright but there were only a few chunks which weren’t enough to compensate. My recommendation is that if you do visit, try out their various pizzas as those are definitely a “safe” option of money spent you’ll enjoy. Also be sure to get one of their tiramisus as well, those are very tasty. Also, it’s a really nice and chill spot to eat both inside and outside. Plus, the prices are pretty average if you’re not looking to spend much.
