I was fortunate enough to eat at Portfolio last night and I have nothing but praise for the food, the service and the whole dining experience. We had seats at the bar which I would highly recommend. It was a joy to watch the two chefs prepare each plate so calmly and delicately. There were some dishes that I just don't think I will ever forget. The first dish (scallop) I ate in particular, was perfect. The balance of flavours took my breath away. Throughtout the meal each dish was presented by either the chefs or the sommelier. Their passion for the ingredients, their eagerness to share their knowledge and to answer questions was so appreciated. Their friendly nature made our dining experience just so special! It’s clear that they use the finest quality produce, and the presentation was beautiful.
The service was flawless. The staff was not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made fantastic recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

Read moreWhat a wonderful experience. So much care goes in to the food. All the dishes are unique and the presentation is beautiful, little pieces of art on our plates for each course. We had the drinks menu to accompany the courses and the wines were interesting and really balanced with the food, sometimes on their own they were not that great and then you add a curried cod or a mackerel dish and it all falls in to place. The host is knowledgeable, busy but never rushed, and in the end also turned out makes excellent espresso. The madeleines with the espresso were the best I have ever eaten, crispy outside, buttery soft lovely cake in the middle. The chefs were a joy to watch creating all this art, they seemed content in what they were doing which adds to the experience as well. Definitely recommend this for that special...
