Worst. Bagel. Ever.

I went to buy an avocado bagel today. My expectations were low—how do you mess up avocado and cream cheese? Turns out, very easily.

The avocado slices were a disaster, chopped into random, uneven chunks that resembled a Mondrian painting more than a vegetable. They were arranged with the precision of a toddler playing Jenga, ensuring they’d fall out at the first opportunity. And the taste? Abominable. I’ve accidentally tasted avocado-flavoured shampoo that was more enjoyable.

The entire bagel was devoid of love, flavour, or even the basic concept of food. And for 8€? Shame on me. I want to sit down with whoever made this and ask, Who hurt you? Why did this poor, innocent bagel have to suffer?

The bun added to the tragedy—neither crispy nor soft, just a bland, uninspired base for the cream cheese, which had been slapped on with all the care of someone with severe diarrhoea . Like the avocado, the bagel itself was oddly cut, less of a meal and more of an abstract art installation.

I’m disappointed. And I hope that somewhere, someone is looking long and hard at themselves...

Great place for a tasty bagel and coffee/tea/juice with a date/friends/family/alone. During weekends a bit more crowded. With some patience you will get a table. It is located within a shopping mall that is between Utrecht centraal and the city center.

The service is very keen and friendly. The bagels are super tasty. You can choose the bread for all the different variations in the Dutch and English menue. Also a big choice of drinks. If you order a big cappuccino tryout get an extra large one, so be careful with your wishes 😆

For breakfast, lunch and brunch suggested. Normally hectic if you like it more quite, you should consider another place...

I always go to bagels and beans in other locations however this location is the worst. Mango juice smelt disgusting and they refused to exchange it and I had to order a new cup of orange juice for my mother in law cause I did not want to make a scene.

Salads are not great. Staff are rude and stupid. How do you figure that the juice is disgusting without tasting it, their excuse was that its not a full cup. Never again in that branch Teach your staff some customer service professionalism and some good manners and I am sure you have policies about dirty disgusting orders. Teach them...
