Namaskar — Restaurant in Utrecht

Disappointed with taste & unavailability. Hospitality was not good.

Editing after owners Response: I think you forgot to mention in your reply that you didn't have atta (flour) for 2 days to make tandoori rotis, so already 4 out of 6 people could not have dinner properly as Nan and other breads contain Egg, and they had to manage with Rice & Dal. 1 person didn't eat at all. Should we be sorry that Rice & Dal could make a bill of 35 Euros only?

Understand that other restaurants might not allow sharing the main dish, but being an Indian, you should know Indians like to share their dishes. And if you have got rotis everyone in the group would have ordered their main dish.

Thuisbezorgd.nl' is one of the most important apps to have, when you live in the Netherlands. Through this app I discovered Namaskar. My go to-dishes are: butter chicken tikka masala, roti (the regular one), samosa, papadam and mango lassi. Mango lassi is not really a dish but a drink. Nevertheless, worth mentioning it. Never a disappointment when I order Namaskar. Until I went to the restaurant itself: I was hooked. I really like Indian food, but I never knew I loved it so much. This time I tried their oven baked tandoor chicken, lamb curry, some spinach goodness and an amazing lentil dish. We ordered food to our hotel. Delivery took almost 2 hours, carrier never called, food was cold and yogurt sauce missing.

We waited for long. When the restaurant informed us that the carrier has left the restaurant, my husband went lobby to wait for food. After waiting for quite a while he received a call from the reception asking if he’s gonna pick up the food, from of which the carrier should’ve been called about. Because the carrier never did the food was already cold after waiting in the reception for a while.
