Kloek — Restaurant in Utrecht

I've visited this restaurant a couple of times now, and the food quality has been consistently good. If you like chicken and beer, this is the ideal place for you. In particular if you want to taste the special beers from the municipality of Utrecht. The only minus point for me is that if you want both vegetables and some carbohydrates, you need to order them separately from the dish, which might drive up the price if you have limited budget. The place has great character: the decor, the vibe, the space, and I am sure that the food is very good as well, but we only stopped for drinks. What we noticed though is the different approach with the service and, if it was for a very dismissive and not caring waiter (a guy) when we came in, we would have walked out immediately. Kloek used to be just a chicken restaurant but they expanded their menu. The food is still good but it's too busy. The staff makes mistakes. Like forgeting one dish. When I went to the bar to ask about it, not anyone noticed me. By the time we finally could speak to a waiter the other dishes were cold. They forgot the sugar and milk for the coffee and there was no waiter we could ask for it. They don't ask if you want another drink and then they only serve 2, not 3. All in all. Better fry your...
