Spaghetteria Pasta-bar — Restaurant in Utrecht

As always, the amazing pasta makes me return to the spaghetteria and this time we decided to try the one next to Utrecht centraal .

The simple menu was greatly appreciated. I asked for 'spaghetti alla chitarra aglio olio con pistacchio' . The pasta base was very good, as always! Was a bit disappointed at the sauce and toppings though. I expected the flavor of the olive oil prime material to be more intense. The garlic flavor was good but there was a lot of oil and if it doesn't have a rich flavor then it is just a greasy pasta. The pecorino and pistacchio could compose the dish but they were not in sufficient quantity, which was a shame. The rest of the group ordered 'ravioli al tartufo' , 'spaghetti alla chitarra al nero di seppia con ragù di gamberi e calamari' and 'creste di gallo con salsiccia Toscana classica'. The first two are highly recommended! The last dish with the salsiccia was a bit blend. The meat was supposed to be a highlight in the dish it tasted rather plain.

We've asked for a tiramisù for dissert which was absolutely delicious. The lady fingers needed to have more coffee in them but otherwise the texture and flavor of the cream were 5 stars.

We appreciated the concept of the restaurant and the staff was very friendly and efficient despite the busy hour. On the other hand there was a lot of noise which made the dinner less pleasant.

Overall it was below expectation but we will still return when we want good...

Fantastic place to eat ! This description starts with the quality of the service, exceptional! Very kind and helpful waiters, enthusiastic and polite. Concerning the atmosphere of the place, we were two people eating outside at ~9pm. The street at which the restaurant is situated is a very chill and cozy street with a luxuriant vegetation coupled with charming light, giving it a heart-warming and mellow vibe.

We decided on the spaghetti alla chitarra Aglio Olio con pistacchio and on pappardelle con ragù di Vitello. Both dishes were fantastic. The number 3 was exactly garlicy enough, leading to a captivating balance. It was creamy, rich in different tastes, delicious overall, and bread was fresh and warm. The number 6 was greatly executed, and meat was mouth-watering and tender. The desserts were also scrumptious. The panacota had the perfect texture and subtil aroma of caramel. For long time I wanted to try this restaurant . It is in a nice position close by the Utrecht central station and mall . We were there on Friday night around 21:30, the place was still quite full but we found a table . We had Ravioli and Creste di Gallo, both of them were nice in a good portion but they didn't really make me say wowwww, I found the sauce of the Creste a little bit too dry, the ravioli were nice but I was expecting to find pieces of walnuts . Friendly and quick service . Unfortunately they terminated both the pasta with fish otherwise we were ordering also one of them to close the night in a better way ! If you like the pasta you should definitely try this place ! I will back .
