I’ve always enjoyed 1982 Xinjiang Noodles, but my recent online order left me disappointed. I placed my order at 5:25 PM, yet dine in and walk in customers who arrived after me received their meals well before my order—mine didn’t arrive until 6:00 PM.
I completely understand that kitchens can get busy, but it felt unfair to be overlooked simply because I ordered ahead. I would have appreciated a quick update or apology to let me know what was going on.
If the restaurant follows a first come, first served policy, I’m fine with waiting—as long as all customers are treated equally and this policy is clearly communicated. Likewise, if dine in guests are prioritized, that’s acceptable too, as long as it’s made obvious to everyone.
What I hope is that the team can clarify their approach. Are orders processed strictly in the order they’re placed? Or are dine in and online orders prioritized differently? Keeping customers informed about your policy would help set expectations and avoid confusion.
I’m sharing this because I value the food and experience at 1982 Xinjiang Noodles, and I’d like to feel confident ordering online again. I hope this feedback helps improve clarity for...
Read moreWow 👅 This place is awesome. We just walked in looking for something different; as go out often and bored with the usual choices. Don’t be put of by the menu…ask they are so kind and will help recommending what suits you. I got the vegetarian option noodles with mushrooms, pickled vegetables and peanuts.. totally loved it. Medium spice as i like it hot but am not going to get stupid about it😉 And my date had the soup noodles in a spicy sweet tomato base with such tender pieces of beef. Delicious ✅ filling ✅ tasty ✅. The rice noodles are thick like udon and gluten free!!!! im addict already as dont get to gobble things up like that normally.
Delighted that I’ve found this spot. Its a must for a causual dining experience. Generous portions ✅ I will be back and im telling all my mates...
Read moreThis place is one of my favourites! I absolutely love the range of food and their yoghurt drinks are my favourite out of a lot of drink places that do them. 💜 The only reason why it’s not a 5 star is because the beef noodles I ordered were so overwhelmingly salty I couldn’t eat more than 2 bites unfortunately! I can handle medium spice a-okay but the saltiness was too much. :( I know the staff work hard and this happens! Just sucks because I was looking forward to the beef noodles, but everything else, the chicken noodles, fried food combo of takoyaki, chicken nuggets, and sweet potato taro balls, mango yoghurt and lemon tea drinks, were delicious! Will still keep coming back as a loyal customer, just probably won’t order any...
