3rd time visiting Chamberlain, unfortunately customer service wasn’t up to par. Hired a golf cart, got to hole 16 and it went dead, phoned reception and was advised to “leak” it over, however this was impossible and had to start manually pushing it through to get to the next hole. Called again, thankfully the Asian fella acted quick and confirmed he will deliver us a fully functioning cart. 15min had passed and cart arrived, was issued a free cart on our next visit and was happy with that. 4th visit, carts were booked out and couldn’t cash in 18 hole free cart, so we came up to the back 9 and was lucky to secure a cart, only to be told “oh if you use this free pass, you’ll be credited for 18 holes”. This didn’t make sense as the free pass says 18 holes, we assumed we’d have 9 holes to use for our next visit. I feel as though the tall bloke who wears FJ apparel is not the nicest to deal with. Asian man is always super...

A pretty good public course to start or restart your golf journey. Average fairways and greens but a few of those greens are pretty rough. A couple of holes do provide a challenge (the dogleg holes), and it's almost impossible to hit out of the fescue if you manage to find your ball so best to keep it in the fairway.

For the people you see on the course, it's a pretty mixed bunch but pray to the heavens you don't play behind those groups of old asian golfers that play there often. No matter which golf course you play in it is proper ettiquette to let faster players/groups play through but if you try to ask these old folks if you can play ahead they get angry. I've played quite a few rounds alone here and using a golf cart and not once have I been allowed by these groups to play ahead. Management should really give...

I think it used to be good without having to book but now with golf being so popular things need to change. The past 2 times I've been there I've wait an hour and a bit or more to tee off. I think tee times will have to be emplimented at some point to keep people coming back. The other benefit of this would be the pacing.

The past 2 games I'm here I've been stuck between a group of 12 and a group of 11. This not only makes the teentime super slow, but ruins the entire round as 9 holes ended up taking 3.5 hours. A bit gutting as this place used to be awesome but nothing is changing with the sudden popularity...

This is a fantastic course for beginners! The fairways, rough, and greens are all well-maintained, making for a pleasant playing experience considering the great price ($20 - 9 Hole). Just be aware that the course has some elevation changes, so I'd recommend bringing or renting a trundler (they're only $5). It can get very busy, especially on Saturdays. If you're planning a weekend round, aim to arrive before 8am to avoid a 20-40 minute wait at the first tee. Even then, you might encounter some waiting on the course itself. Overall, I highly recommend Chamberlain for those new to golf.

Chamberlain is public golf course very close to the city centre, booking is not required which is very nice. You can play anytime of the day, just get there pay and tee off. If you need a cart booking is required as normally big groups play there every weekend. During the week on summer time they have the twilight deal which is quite nice. Membership is available and is quite cheap. Staff is very friendly and helpful, course is very well looked after, it is a sham that the council is planning to reduce the size of the course. Hope they can find a solution without having to reduce it.

All things considered it's not a bad place to play however, the greens are absolutely awful. The fairways are very average. It is a public course though so that does need to be taken into consideration. It's very cheap and if you are just looking to kill a few hours or are just beginning to learn the game it does the job... just beware of the cross country golfers at times it does seem like you are being bombarded with balls from every direction!
