Ralph's — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

This place is a joke. They have been written up a few times for their burgers (which I agree are quite good) However, they don't serve them during the weekends and they close they kitchen super early! Who does that?? I also arranged a work lunch there during the week after they had been written up in denizen regarding their burgers and was told they weren't serving their burgers at lunch. Again who does that?? The burger is pretty fantastic as I got lucky once and was able to be served in "super secret hour "but did find it irritating that I couldn't request the burger without bacon. They told me the kitchen gets too busy and wouldn't be able to make the burger without bacon. They place has 10-12 tables and there were no more than 6 customers in there at the time. Come on! even at Mc Donalds you can specialoze your order! It's also really sad to know they would rather waste food then make an effort to satisfy a customer and just read an simple...

Good food but not so good service. The two female staff (one younger blond with glasses, and one older woman who prides herself on inventing the flavours of the milkshakes) are really cold and disinterested and simply go through the motions. They ask you "how are you" or "how is your meal" but don't really care. For example, when they come to check up on you, they ask "how is everything" but then walk away when you are answering them and don't even acknowledge you are answering their question. When they are taking your order, they are looking around the cafe rather than focusing on you and don't take any notes, so obviously they then get the order wrong. Basically, service is a shambles and cold, cold, cold. The only saving grace is that the chefs are brilliant. I would order takeout - that way, you avoid the miserable staff but still...

Edit February 2020: I took off a star because every time we go here the service is worse and worse. The food is still great, but unfortunately our most recent visit was cut short because the three employees standing around and chatting amongst themselves couldn’t find the time to take our order. I don’t think they’re still on Uber Eats so it’s impossible to avoid this poor service.
