I have attended Scarlett Slimms and Lucky twice over the past few weeks.
The first time I attended was for my birthday, which I had booked for myself and friends for the 18/07/2025.
I had booked the table around a week in advance to ensure an excellent experience for everyone. We arrived on time to be seated at a table that could barely seat 4. They had also had an incident with the seating and had placed blankets on the seats as the were wet.
When 4 of the 6 arrived, we could easily tell the seating was not sufficient. I requested a different table, which was arranged when possible. It was obvious to everyone that this should have been sorted before we arrived.
This was not a great start to my birthday celebrations.
When the drinks eventually arrived everyone was shocked at how they tasted except for me as I had ordered a drink which they just needed to put some gin in a glass and provide a premade tonic to add in. After my first drink I ordered a Passionfruit mojito which was so overly sweet and quite strong on the alcohol. Unfortunately even a simple lemon lime and bitters drink was too difficult to make.
We had ordered food at the same time as drinks and waiting patiently for food. After 15 minutes we were advised that those who had ordered fish and chips could not have them as they had run out. Those who had ordered had to rush to order new food as by this point we had already being at the premises for around 30 minutes.
When the food finally arrived everyone was disappointed with the food. Those who had ordered sliders noticed every order had the same sauce on it. We hadn't been advised they had obviously also ran out of sauce.
The person who ordered ribs advised it was so overly seasoned they could not finish it.
The person who ordered Spaghetti could only eat a few mouthfuls after giving up as it was so bland, pasta overcooked and was not enjoyable.
One of the people who had originally ordered fish and chips ended up with fries.
I had ordered the pork sliders and fried chicken. The chicken itself was over fried and dry, the sliders were haphazardly put together, dry meat and everything had the same sauce.
Afterwards most of the group went to have takeaways.
We were requested to give the venue another try and attended yesterday on 27/07/2025.
We ordered the cheese and Spinach dip with bread and the pulled lamb sliders. We ordered simple drinks which came from a can/bottle.
The Spinach dip was not a dip. The "dip" was a Spinach saagwala. We needed a fork to put a lot of Spinach onto the bread. I would never order your "dip" again.
The pulled lamb sliders were also terrible. The lamb was so dry and tasted like lamb kebab oddly enough. The sauce was alright and the bread was interesting for a slider.
They didn't have the green edition red bull which was on the menu which is not hard to acquire. The Bundaberg ginger beer was lovely.
I will not be trying Scarlett Slimms a third attempt.

Read moreThere is a circulating media post that a samoan/iranian lady with her maori partner were asked to leave their prepaid first table booking to accommodate for four white ladies. It has also shown that your response was that the couple should have been more understanding due to how busy it was.
Firstly, a first table booking is literally as it is spelt out, the FIRST table. There is no way in which a first table booking would be intruding with a "busy" schedule as the kitchens would just be opening. If there are walk ins that come at this time it's your responsibility to tell them that they need to wait till the next available table.
Secondly, if someone has booked a table beforehand it is their table. The only exception would be if they cancelled or did a no show within the 15 minute grace period. To ask a table of two to leave to accommodate a table of four just so you can make more money is just pathetic, very poor ethics from your end.
Thirdly, To Jimmy Manes; just because you have a diverse clientele and have hired staff of all races, does not cancel out the racism portrayed from a single individual, especially the working duty manager.
Ps. I hope all the one stars coming your way make you seriously reflect on what it means to be a business that serves ALL nationalities fairly. If fairness is not in your values as a business, we...
