My wife asked the young girl worker if she could have $5 off while buying three items a garment with a hole in it, a jacket covered in stains and a jumper with pilling. She was met with attitude regarding pricing due to the jumper being "wool" which was 100% acrylic, and quote "well it is second hand" and that we would have to speak to the manager instead of actually asking her manager is we could have $5 off. Considering this is a shop for customers who are struggling with a clothing budget, $5 off a $35 purchase is not an unreasonable ask, and next time instead of causing embarrassment, maybe the worker could quietly ask the manager if $5 off would be okay instead of leaving it in our hands to track down a manager to ask if we could have a small discount on three grubby clothing items because $15 for a ripped old dress is eyebrow raising. Read moreSlightly mixed feeling about this place. My donation didn't seem appreciated, the lady was literally throwing things from the carton box to a trolley to check that I didn't bring any electronics. She could have handled things with a bit more care.
I ended up paying for dropping of some cables which were re-usable, which is okay. It was a bit disappointing to see the staff dumping those items anyway.
