Disappointing Experience – Poor Food, Service, and Atmosphere

⭐ Food – 1 Star All of us experienced reflux, likely from the old oil used in the food. It was clearly overused and gave everything an unpleasant taste.

⭐ Customer Service – 1 Star The service was shockingly rude. They forgot to pack parts of our order, and when we called, they suddenly “found” the missing items—but we were already too far away to return. They refused to refund us, hung up three times, and lied about not being able to process refunds online. Only after someone in the background yelled did they reluctantly agree to refund us for something we had paid for but never received. Completely unprofessional.

⭐ Atmosphere – 1 Star Customers waited without their numbers being called, leaving orders sitting on the counter for over 20 minutes. When people finally asked, there wasn’t even an apology. The lack of organisation and basic courtesy was shocking.

I have no idea what people are raving about, although I feel bad writing such a negative review as the people seemed lovely. It was busy a long weekend and Friday night but AFTER ordering and paying we were told there would be a 45 minute wait.

We went for a walk as we had our 3 year old daughter with us and came back at 40 minutes and they honestly looked like they'd lost our order and said another 20 or so minutes wait.

I would have walked out but my toddler had just had an epic meltdown (tired and hungry) and we had no other food options at home as we just arrived from Auckland earlier that day.

We had planned a nice meal together in the park but ended up just driving home. The fish was ok, the chips ok and there was no lemon. WHAT!! You call yourselves a fish and chip joint. I didn't enjoy my fish at all as cannot really stand it without being doused in lemon.

How disappointing…. Was really looking forward a good fish and chips and didn’t seems bad by reading previous comments. Unfortunately it turns out to be a an insignificant meal, a waste of money ($26), and a fest for the seagulls. Lady oversold me pieces of fish and fries. I ask for a small scoop of fries and enough small pieces of snapper equally to 2 standard fillets. She knew that it was for me and didn’t mentioned that it was a lot and that they only do one standard size for fries. Fortunately fish was ok but batter and fries tasted old oil. Husband is a chef and confirm that was the smell of a dirty oil. Tartare sauce was straight from a bottle. I have to ask for some lemons to make it slightly enjoyable but they were sold out and told me to go buy some next door. I was expecting better communication but...
