However, I feel it’s important to express that, regardless of the intention behind the laughter, the way it was directed—combined with the repeated glances—felt clearly personal and left me feeling disrespected and exposed. Being the only visibly different person at that moment, especially with afro hair in a predominantly white environment, it’s difficult not to interpret such behaviour through the lens of racial sensitivity.

I’m glad to know that you value diversity. However, intention doesn’t always cancel out impact—and for someone like me, those “few seconds” (which in fact lasted much longer, as I remained in the space for nearly an hour) can carry the weight of a lifetime of similar experiences.

I also believe it’s important to mention that, if you genuinely reviewed the security footage thoroughly, you know exactly what happened. And while you may choose not to acknowledge it publicly, it’s clear that you are aware the account I shared reflects the reality of the situation. Dismissing or downplaying how I felt about the incident is, quite frankly, unacceptable.

I had dinner yesterday night 18/05/2025 with my partner there and I was negatively surprised by the service. There were 2 ladies in the kitchen. One was short and wore dental braces and the other was a blond taller girl. Both were working in the kitchen. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the girl wearing braces staring at me, and the way she looked at me was already uncomfortable. I ordered and sat down. When I noticed that she was frequently looking at me and laughing, not enough to her, she also called the taller woman over, and they both looked at me and laughed out loud.
