Burger King Mt Maunganui — Restaurant in North Island

I was less than impressed when in your Mt Maunganui store this morning at the filth of the premises. The toilet area's both Ladies and Gents smelt vile and nobody was in them not had left recently according to a staff member, the state of the floors, walls and general cleanliness was horrible. I noticed from the counter area when waiting for my order that serving area hadn't been cleaned "PROPERLY" for quite some time, the grime was old as was above a tall machine to the right side of the server where I pulled items from it including bottle caps, a suction hook, straws and plastic spoons that were obviously there for months. I mentioned this to the server "Michelle" - nice young lady who was seen talking to a senior operator who looked back and me and physically shrugged. The Table booth I sat at hadn't been wiped down for a long period of time either as the sticky spillage was engraved into the dirty vinyl seating cover along with the paper napkins shoved into the creases. C'mon Mt Maunganui Store get your act together and have someone be responsible for checking the staff's work in the cleaning divisions! The food and the server were great but totally let down by the lack of cleanliness in the store. Reminder that this was around 9am so should not have been to that level of utter filth in a food and hygiene area! I look forward to returning on a regular basis to see if improvements have been made in ALL area's. Not just at eye level where staff seem to be cleaning the table tops only. Went to Burger King 👑. tonight and was very disappointed, first step in the door and every table was dirty drinks were spilt all over the floor, ordered our meal sat down and we had no chips 🍟 but had potato nuggets, when I questioned this they said oh we have sold out of chips and gave them instead, but we weren't told at the time. Then when we went to get a drink there was no ice, the drinks were warm, so we had to swap our drinks out and swap them for frozen drinks, again we weren't told so there was a line of people trying to exchange there drinks. Also there were no milkshakes or icecreams available, so all and all very disappointing. The staff at the counters seemed unaware of what was going on in the cooking area behind so couldn't inform us of the changes to our orders. WARNING!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!! DINE IN CARPARK USERS!!!! Our group have been slammed with a breach of parking because we (big group of 11) over stayed the 30min parking notice. The offence took place back in June 1st 2024, and I received the FIRST letter saying it was their final warning. 8days later it has gone to Baycorp! ($95 x 3.. we had 3 carloads of ppl) We dined in the entire time and never 'walked off' anywhere else. The only thing we done wrong was not eat our food fast enough, we dined in during the busy lunch rush so food came out at different times, and we had a big group. Not something we can easily do in 30 minutes and now it's going to effect our credit rating!! So js be aware if u have a big group, or are just dining in, it's a 30 minute parking.. dnt get caught off...
