We have been going to Mumbles Cafe (now Tipsy Cafe) for over 20 years. Even though ownership has changed over the years we have always enjoyed our experiences. Our go to has always been cheese scones (toasted) at morning tea (and many breakfasts) and they have always been served freshly baked. Today we were served 2 day old scones that were inedible. Both scones were left with a bite out of each. We did not ask when they were baked before we ordered them, as we have never had reason to. On leaving we gave feedback to the server/staff member and asked if they were freshly baked today (1 March) to which she replied no, they were baked on 27 February. She did not seem to care that they were uneaten and did not apologise either. Unfortunately after our experience today we will not be back. The female manager older lady came running out showed me some can that had hot chocolate in it but I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS THIS ONE THAT WAS USED to make my medium hot chocolate. Instead of making me another one the manager tells me I need to pay for another hot chocolate! I called two days after the episode happened to owner himself the owner he didn't apologize for her behavior he called it justified and ask me, "what do you want me to do about it?'' If I could give it a negative review I would because this isn't how you deal with customers.
