The Forest Amble Sculpture Walk is an absolute delight and a perfect family-friendly stroll. The track begins at the main entrance to the Hanmer Forest Park on Jollies Pass Road. At this entrance, there is a main car park and information board, as well as toilets but there are no toilets on the track itself. The track is an easy, flat loop that takes about 30 minutes, making it ideal for young children. I went in winter, the path was a bit muddy and there is a few tree roots and very slightly uneven so not ideal for wheelchairs but a good push chairs will work out well. The real magic, is in the beautiful wooden sculptures of animals and creatures carved from an old redwood tree. They are scattered along the path, and spotting them as you go is a lot of fun. The walk is peaceful, with birdsong adding to the ambiance, and the trees provide great shade if you are walking in summer. It's a wonderful, relaxing and a...

This is a great little amble through the forest. Well signed posted and info boards. There are seats and a picnic table around the trail. The wooden sculptures are well designed. Also a hidden Easter egg rock, some fairy type made huts. A very smart way to enhance the beauty of the forest with well thought out sculptures. Some lights for night walk if aesthetically pleasing would make this a great evening activity as well. Wheelchairs should be ok in dry weather.Mostly the track is in shade but their is a bit of open area to get to the dog and lizard. Looks like...

Great short walk with a variety of sculptures along the loop. We came in off cheltenham street entrance. There was directional signage pointing the way. Going up a short hill rise and there is a bollard with a photo of a wooden dog sculpture. Looked around and couldn't see the dog. Found out that is because it is not there. This is the generic sculpture walk symbol and they are regularly spaced along the way to confirm you are going the right way. Weirdly, the dog sculpture is not on the loop. It is on a dog leg...

Great entertainment for kids and easy 30 minutes walk through the forest. Very easy to find. On Jollies road about 2 km from town you will find Forest amble sculptures on the left. The track is marked by a picture of a dog. The is parking available on the right. The walk is easy. You will find sculptures caved in wood located in random places. There are other walks connected in this walk but just follow the signs. The track is pretty flat.
