Wonderful cafe and restaurant. We walked by while trying to find some food just after landing and waiting to checkin to our stay. The family was almost giving up and heading to BurgerKing but we happened to see the bagels and waffles on display and we decided to give it a try.
The flat white with oat milk was really well made with a nice balance of coffee and light smooth creme feel. It wasn't too hot or too cold. The kids loved the iced chocolate with oat milk.
We tried the BLT Bagels which our daughter loved but the sauce was a bit too spicy for her. Our sons loved the avocado toast with add on bacon and the waffles. The waffles seemed too sweet by look but the balance was nice while still on the sweet side. It would have been great with some fresh tart/sour fruit on the side but thats a minor issue/suggestion. The Chicken and Cranberry sandwich was amazing. The bread was a combo of sesame seeds and a slight sourdough aftertaste which was really nice. Finally, the corn stack with bacon was really nice as well. I would only suggest that you ask for more bacon if you like more than a few pieces and the sauce / mayo on the side. The corn stacks were amazing but somewhat overtaken by the sauce. A final, minor point would be to have more than a few leafs of salad. The green balanced the dish really well but just didn’t feel like there was enough.
I want to especially call out the awesome service of the team in the Cafe. They handled all our questions and changes with patience and smiles. And they even went beyond, coming back to us a few times to suggest other things that we didn’t know about.
Strongly recommended and I hope we have the chance to...
Read moreStopped in on my way to a meeting, which I often do as they are open late. I have had some poor service in past here, usually midweek there are a couple girls on late that don t want to be there and act like they don t want you there either but yesterday, Sunday Morning, showed these girls are the anomaly. I was waiting for my coffee, gentleman behind counter was singing along to the music so he obviously was having a good day and that automatically lifted mine. Had a tough week moving and dealing with the end of a few months of dealing with neighbours from hell, so was a bit flat. But then a regular came in and was so impressed with how they staff were with him. He was sight impaired and one of the girls guided him from the door to the counter. Waited with him while he ordered and then took him to a table and settled him. They only had 3 on, and wasn t super busy but busy enough that they could have rushed him or been frustrated with taking up their time with one customer. But was so impressed that they took the time to look after this man and even with a queue forming kept at smile of their face and just made that moment about him. After the lack of humanity I had seen lately it actually made me a bit teary so see such compassion. Thank you your kindness helped 2...
