Grizzly Baked Goods — Restaurant in Christchurch

This has become our favourite sandwich place! We loved it so much the first time that we've been back twice more! We've tried all of the sandwiches now (except the chickpea one) and we've loved every single one! The breakfast bagel is probably our favourite. The coffee is fantastic and the tea good too - I especially like their choice of Earl Grey as it has a slightly different flavour profile to most - perhaps something like a touch of cinnamon? We've also loved the crispy bear claw with the delicious frangipane filling. We tried their vanilla cheesecake donut as well as one of the cookies and enjoyed these too! Honestly, might be the best Sandwich place in Christchurch! It can be tricky to find parking and if you do come towards the end of their opening time, then you might find the selection of sandwiches to be less (probably because they are pretty popular). My suggestion - definitely visit but come early to avoid...

we tried their croissants , bagels, apricot and almond donut, multi grain sourdough and walnut and fig sourdough from Bucchan shop.every single one was on the money, definitely standout from the crowd. croissants were folded in generously with just enough of butter. candied outer glaze and moist buttery inner layers. there are good croissants in christchurch. but theirs are better. bagels were light and chewy. donut was delicious with flavors and textures without the oversweetness. sourdoughs had enough nuts, bite and the beatiful smell after popping out of the toaster to justify the price of loaf everyone is charging. coffees can use a tuneup. Top efforts for the baked goods. love your work. earlier opening hours would be epic over...

We were in a rush to get to the airport to see our friend, so by the time we tasted the coffees it was too late and we were already enroute. The barista got our coffee wrong, which can happen. So on our way back we went back with our coffees and explained that they had got our orders mixed up. The barista’s attitude was almost as if ‘yeah, so what?’ So we had to ask her to please make us fresh correct coffees. On receiving our coffees we thanked her and she had her back to us. The other ladies there were genuinely happy to fix the order for us and responded to our thanks. Still, hate to start the day with negativity and bad energy so will not be going there again. 3 stars for food as we tried the pastries which were ok but not...
