The fish was crispy and fresh; the burgers are awesome with fresh chicken and just the right amount of sauce. The real star for me was the chips, hands down the best Iโve had in ages. Perfectly cooked, and they nailed the salt. Super friendly service too. I will be coming back next time Iโm craving proper fish and chips! Really happy with this place's squid rings and explosion donut; I recommend them!
Roadside parking is available; public bins are outside the shop, so you can eat in-store or in your car. Pricing is the same as all other surrounding stores.

This is by far the BEST place I've been for a great feed of fish and chips !! Perfectly cooked and drained, fish is huge, and it's all fish, with beautiful crispy batter. Chips are also cooked to perfection, no dripping in oil and soft, like many places. These ones have always been spot on. They are cooked perfectly with a awesome crunch. Fantastic pricing. (compared to other cities) Everytime I'm in Christchurch, this is a must on my list for us to visit. Lunch at the beach. Highly recommend. Super friendly staff. I'm visiting from the home of real fish and chips..i.e the UK. Henry's chips are as good as any I've had anywhere, including some very pricey offerings in UK designer/gastro pubs. Crispy outers, tasty melt in the mouth once you bite them offering. Batter not too thick tasty and crisp. Sausages..totally scrumptious..judging by the fact that grandsons refused to share theirs... Sqid rings..fine, ditto spring roll. Fish..well your pacific water fish can never be as good as a North (cold) sea cod or haddock..but still an acceptable white fish offering There's a couple of recent 1 and 2 star reviews on here. I wonder did they get the right fish...
