What can I say I live a 5 minute drive from this McDonalds I go to the Airport a lot and thought on a Sunday morning I would get a quick coffee and a muffin to takeaway for Breakfast. I entered the store at 813am on the 17/04/2016 the place was very quiet. I went up to the Cafe counter where I was greeted by a lovely lady in her 20's Maori who smiled and took my coffee order and asked me if I would like anything else. She was really nice let me know I could order my breakfast from there to which I did. Smile thank you it won't be to long sir etc. All going great so far. I stood back and was just watching the staff as I waited a minute later my food order appeared I collected it from the other counter where the lovely lady had moved to again smiles and thank you. I waited for my coffees observing new staff enter the McDonalds I noted to myself that not one of the three that entered said one word to other staff as they came to work and other staff or management didn't greet them either. No smiles, nothing at all. The only person I observed smiling was my original lady as she continued to serve on the food counter which was now quite busy. As I buy a lot of coffee and have stood in many many coffee places waiting for coffee I have a fair idea of how things go and what to expect and not expect. Firstly the older Manager lady that moved to the coffee counter to help another young Lady didn't seem to be speeding the process along their as by my estimation approx 5 coffees to be made before mine. However after 12 minutes of waiting I observed people getting their drinks before me. I approached the counter just to check if my order was missed. The older Lady(Didn't get the name) who was dressed in the manager uniform abruptly asked "Yes" no smile nothing. I said that I ordered two trim flat whites and noticed that others were getting orders before me. "Well thats because I only have one big head" She was the rudest person I have ever encountered at McDonalds. No smiles snappy and down right rude. A few minutes later she called out two large flat whites I was just right in front of her. She plonked them down without a word a scowl on her face. I said thanks for the smile and the great service and left. If this Lady is the Manager I feel really sorry for her Staff as I can see its not a happy Team. And as for the customers and her service bloody hell she is in the wrong job. McDonalds you could do so much better. Two stars one for the lovely original lady(9 stars for her really) and the other for...
Read moreDonât go here unless youâre happy waiting ages for coffee and like being forgotten about. The drive through here is an absolute mess! I feel this is more of an issue during breakfast, but there is never a time when there are not cars being parked waiting for coffees/hot drinks - often so many cars it backs up into the drive through itself. I have been forgotten about whilst being parked up for coffee three times, meaning I have to go in and ask for my coffee to be made. Whatâs the point of a drive through if it leads to this.
However, today was the worst, hence me leaving a review. We assumed it wouldnât be too bad at a non-peak time so tried to get a breakfast combo w/ coffee before dropping someone off for a flight. First the hash brown is cold, it is grumpily replaced. We drive off to be âparkedâ for coffee only to realise the hash brown was replaced by an even colder one (how can you be this inept?!) I go inside to get a fresh hash brown (again, whatâs the point of the drive through?) only to be told thereâs going to be a wait on hash browns. I then see approx. 20 - 25 people waiting for food and coffee and realise weâre not getting anything anytime soon. So we just left w/out the hash brown or coffee.
I realise we should have taken onboard George Bush Jrâs advice (fool me twice, shame on me) but I think weâve finally learnt our lesson and wonât be using this store again. Itâs such a pity when you see a lot of tourists who have just got off a plane sitting around waiting for food that never comes - probably not a good first impression...
Read moreToday I had a mediocre experience down at the airport McDonaldâs. My grandchildren had been craving McDonaldâs for breakfast in which their needs I had to full-fill. Happy meals all around! Due to McDonaldâs diverse 24/7 menu. I had some hotcakes and a hot chocolate for myself. Ordering our food we felt rather discombobulated as a worker at the back (who I was later informed was named xi long lang) shouted out âTIMAH!!!â At my 6 year old grandson who has Down syndrome and is constrained to a wheelchair. If someone could please reply to this comment to explain to me what this means as my grandsons name is in fact Tyrell, NOT Timmy that would be greatly appreciated. After receiving the food, we were again disappointed as the 7 happy meals all contained the same kids toy being silly women football player cards. This was quite disappointing as this removed the excitement of not know which toy each of my grandchildren would receive. The actual food itself was not bad however, however tyrell again felt singled out as his cheeseburger did not contain any beef, and instead a singular chicken nugget, covered in CURRY SAUCE. Tyrell threw a tantrum and vomited all over himself, to which I received ZERO support from the staff. My hotcakes were not in fact hot, instead they were lukewarm which was rather disappointing as-well. Overall I do not believe that I would come here again unless the quality of service, food and wheelchair accessibility where...
