Morrell and Co. — Restaurant in Christchurch

I would never, ever suggest this place to anyone. I ate here for the first time and was incredibly disappointed. The server was on the lower side of average and he looked bored. When we ordered food, my friend found a long blonde hair in his burger that we originally thought was a melted cheese strand until we had a closer look. My friend didn't want to make a scene and picked out the hair. He ended up eating the burger because it was there. On my pizza, the first bite had a chicken bone in it which I left on my plate... I didn't see any point in sending the pizza back for that, but if i had chewed on it wrong I could have hurt my teeth. Additionally, I ordered a gluten free pizza and specified that I could not have gluten. The pizza base seemed gluten free, but I've had stomach cramps for hours after eating at this restaurant. I don't know if it was cross contamination or just the beginnings of food poisoning, but I am really unimpressed. Went for dinner tonight as me and my partner had recieved a voucher thinking it would be for dinner because on the title of the voucher it just said $40. After eating out bland burgers I went and paid. I presented my voucher for $40 as our total was $52 and the staff who were extremely lovely might I add, had no idea how to even use the voucher. They rung the boss and the poor bartender got a mouthful from him because "you know it's only for lunch!" which makes no sense because there is no menu change the price is the same and the food still tastes bad. We were then forced the pay the full amount which we didn't really have because this was meant to be a treat. The bartender felt so bad that he couldn't do anything as he didn't understand why the boss wouldn't let him use the voucher. It's not like any money is being loss. The only person out of pocket here is us. Will not return which means the voucher gifted to us is now going to waste. Do not recommend. I came here last week for drinks. I ordered a cocktail off the menu and received a Bloody Mary instead of my order, which was meant to be a cinnamon/vanilla flavoured drink. I then asked for a cocktail menu to double check, where I was told I couldn’t see it because they were taking a break from making them, so I brought my drink up after double checking with the menu online and it was wrong. One of the bartenders then argued that it was the drink I’d ordered. Another bartender tasted it and confirmed it was the wrong drink, the first bartender seemed irritated that they had to make another cocktail and at my presence in the facility in the first place. I wouldn’t often leave a bad review off one bad experience, except for I’ve had multiple issues with this bar and their cocktail menu, the staff often stating that they’re not making them on certain days, and in general being unapproachable when there...
