Ordered 1 Char Kuey Teow and 1 Pork chop with noodle soup.
Kuey teow was ok, a little oily and less flavour then I would've liked. Bland is the right word, but better than cheap foodcourt food.
Pork chop with noodle soup. Now this was a concern. When they brought it out, I could immediately smell cooking wine. It was so strong it overpowered any other smell. The soup tasted literally like hot water with a cup of cooking wine added. If it had any meat or seafood broth, alcohol covered it all. It was so appalling we could not eat any more than three spoonful and we TRIED our hardest. You try eating noodles out of water mixed with a cup of cooking wine. Perhaps the chef made a mistake and added too much. We paid for everything but probably need to be persuaded to...
Read moreStarted by dining with a piece of hair in my first dish.
Ordered 5 main dishes which came out with 10-minute intervals for each dish. First-person who got their dish had to wait about 40 minutes for the others to finish.
2 Entrees were ordered as well, which they forgot. After all of us finished our mains, we asked about our entrees. Kept us waiting by telling us that they were coming. Had to wait another 15 minutes. We asked for them to be cancelled because by this time we had finished our mains, but they wouldn't let me. Eventually had our entrees as my dessert.
I'm not the type of a guy who writes reviews but had to for this one. 100% would not visit again. Spend your money at Maccas, probs get more bang out...
Read moreI usually don't give a one-star rating. This used to be the Malaysian restaurant I frequented the most. However, since the change in ownership, I am really disappointed the flavor has changed. The new owner didnot understand the difference between Malaysian cuisine and Chinese cuisine. For instance, in the Singaporean-style fried rice noodles, there's no barbecued pork and shrimp, but they've added Chinese sausages??? and the dish is not spicy. The portion of cereal prawns is disappointingly small, and the cereal flavor is excessively sweet. The sambal beef tastes the same as the Chinese-style tender beef stir-fry ?? They really need to try what is AUTHENTIC...
