Eat Burger — Restaurant in Hamilton

Very nice burgers, decent size and good range to choose from. Reasonable prices considering its in CBD Free 2 hours parking at front and nearby. You go in, sit down and order using your phone. They will them bring the food from the kitchen to you. Nice ambience inside, nice and tidy. Reason for not giving 5 out of 5 was the really poor reception by the lady wears glasses at the entrance, sitting at the round wooden stool by the table. She could not care less. It was 12:06pm and they were clearly late for 12pm opening, but she slowing walked up to the entrance and remove the barriers for people to get in. No greeting, no talking just scanned the vaccine pass and went back to chat to staff behind the bar. She did not want to be there. The lady who brought the orders out of the kitchen was totally the opposite, friendly and responsive, nothing was too hard. It was our first visit to the site during the lunch hour so was a bit of put off. Will return again despite the poor reception given by the lady wearing glasses responsible for scanning vaccine pass. We have also been to Andys Burger in Auckland Sky City and staff service are always friendly and helpful so naturally we would expect the same here as its part of the wider Skycity Group. We Finished at the casino with no luck but thought we would grab something to eat . I got the fish & chip burger for $16 and a coke $5.50 total $21.50. I like how the seating is joined with another business where you can buy alcoholic drinks . The customer service was good but I did wait for abit as it took about 15-20minutes for my food. I didn't enjoy my burger as the fish was mainly batter and the fish was not good its like it was overcooked. The tomato's and sauce made my burger soggy so i didn't manage to eat it.I left disappointed with my meal and i wish i had grabbed the wagyu beef burger. If i ever try this place again hopefully the wagyu burger reedems this place but i wouldn't recommend the fish&chip burger . The atmosphere is what really makes this place as I meet some cool people...

If this had been my first time visiting eat burger, it'd be a 4 star review. But as I've been going there regularly for over 2 years, it gets 3 stars. Here's why:

First, they lose a star due to the portion size of their chips being about half what they used to be.

They lose the second star because lately their patties have become very gristley, with about 2 or 3 large chunks of inedible pieces in each pattie. Call me fussy but they never used to be like this.

To be fair, the portion size of the chips is still reasonable. At least I'd think that if it were my first visit.

Still great customer service, and I must say they manage to get my request for well done/extra crispy bacon right every time.
