Disappointing Experience at Jaipur Restaurant in Hamilton
My recent visit to Jaipur Restaurant for dinner left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and it's not just about the food. As I inquired about the pricing for whiskey, I encountered a puzzling discrepancy. Despite the menu stating that prices were for double shots (30ml each), the staff informed me that each shot was actually 15ml, effectively doubling the price.
When seeking clarification, I was met with a dismissive attitude, and it was suggested that the pricing was based on "white people standards" and I, being Desi (Indian), wouldn't understand. This response was not only offensive but also deeply disrespectful. As a customer, I expect transparency and professionalism, neither of which were demonstrated during my interaction.
While I am willing to pay a fair price for quality service and food, I cannot overlook the discourteous behavior exhibited by the staff. Instead of addressing my concerns with empathy and understanding, I was met with indifference and even rudeness.
It's disheartening to have such a negative experience, especially considering my previous enjoyment of their food. However, I firmly believe that the way a business treats its customers speaks volumes about its values and priorities.
Ultimately, it's not just about the money; it's about respect and the overall experience. Regrettably, I will not be returning to Jaipur Restaurant, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their customer service standards...
Read moreVisited yesterday, It's certainly an OVERRATED Restaurant (4.3 rating). Most of the dishes miss authentic flavour.
First good things.. Mango Kulfi - This is one of the dish I would like to promote, really tasty and has some good flavours of mango, milk, nuts.. Amazing Love it 😊
Not so good things..
Malai Kofta - Too too too too sweet. Don't expect anything other than a sweet dish. I asked for medium spicy but it was too spicy to handle.
Aaloo Gobhi - Red Color..Really??? Who make Aaloo Gobhi red color. No flavour in the curry, veges not cooked properly.
Masala Macchi (Fish curry) - Less salt, missing Indian authentic taste of fish. It was like a normal curry with fish fillet.
Tikka Saag Wala - my brother liked the Saag, so no complaints.
Jaipuri Mix - so you are charging $22 for a platter but not bother making the dish in-house, looks like frozen samosas and onion pakoras, again a big turn off, not worth having a platter on this price
Why I bother writing such a long review??
We browsed google Indian restaurants in Hamilton and came up with this restaurant on top of the list with 4.3 rating, but was very diaappointed after spending 150$ +, so I thought I should share my genuine feedback so that people get real feedback before making their...
Read moreI went for dinner with my husband. he ordered the butter prawn medium and said it tasted like sweet butter chicken just instead of chicken there were prawns I ordered the chicken breyani. Which was the worst ever since I always compare the dish cause it's the only one I have. The chicken was burnt and tasted like rinsed of butter chicken meat, the rice tasted old and was heated so much that the food tasted rubbery. The raita was so sweet as if I was a eating something sweet with the breyani and the place swamped in flies. Will never go back, we paid $3.50 for a glass of coke that clearly did not come from a can because it had no gas. in total we spent $49.80 or something like that for just two dishes and two...
