Aunt Lee's Sushi — Restaurant in Howick

I have eaten from this place for a couple of years now but will talk of my most recent experience. I ordered via uber eats last night and got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. It came with Shredded vegetables and some broccoli. Also some sauce / dressing. I just have to say their food is so delicious. My children stole the broccoli to eat. My 2 year old liked it! So did my 6 year old. I personally love the dressing on the Shredded vegetables (like coleslaw bit no mayo). The rice is always perfect and so is the chicken, which is cut into strips. Went to Aunt Lee for some Japanese food randomly on a Friday night. They have this promotion going which is $13.99 for some Don and noodles dishes. It was my first time there and I think the food was average to be honest, but for its special price, I guess it’s acceptable. I ordered the Korean beef Don and it has some thin sliced beef, rice and salad at the bottom. Won’t pay more than $13.99 for their food...

Wonderful staff, but the sushi was so so. A bit of perspective - I'm a tourist to NZ so maybe I'm not aware of culinary customs here, but in our order of 40 rolls, there were 8 rolls with what appears to be canned tuna? Conceptually that's disgusting, taste-wise, nasty...why would a sushi order include canned anything? The rest of the rolls were fine. Nothing marvelous, but...
