Flo & Co catered take-away breakfasts and lunches for our film crew - and the team were STOKED!! They raved about the daily selection, not an easy feat for a seasoned group accustomed to being well-looked after!
Their particular favourites were the fried chicken wraps, the steak sammies (quote “how the heck did they cook these steaks, they were amazing!!”), and chocolate chip cookies with fillings - peanut butter and cream cheese.
It’s worth mentioning - the orders were packaged very well for travel and the food stayed fresh while on the road. Not many places nail this aspect, but that extra prep and care goes such a long way. Flo & Co did an awesome job so that the team could enjoy their meals on the move.
From my point of view, organising the catering was very easy and efficient. Dietary restrictions were not an issue. Bex was quick to respond and very patient with my last-minute tweaks, for which I’m very grateful.
All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend this spot to fellow film crews, or to travellers wanting a take-out option done right. Looking forward to...
Read moreOrdered a flat white with oat milk. The lady at the register charged me $5.80 and made me pay and then said "one flat white". I then said "yes but with oat milk". She had forgotten to put that in, I apologised immediately as if I made that mistake and she then said "you know what, it's fine, don't worry about it." I then went to sit outside to be confronted by the extremely grumpy Barista bitching at me that oat milk costs extra. I tried to explain the situation but she got super rude, making me feel bad for not having made a mistake really. Went inside, paid for the milk after that. Another server charged me, instead of the previous woman that made the mistake. All four staff started looking at me in an unfriendly manner / ignored me. Honestly kinda absurd to cause a scene over a $1 mistake YOU'VE made, not me. Don't recommend going, unless you want to encounter unfriendly staff. Reading the comments, it seems like that's an...
Read moreStopped in for lunch, at first bummed that we missed the breaky menu (wanted to try those kimchi pancakes!) but went for eggs bene with hot smoked salmon and the salad with falafel. Both were delicious (especially shared!). Falafel tasted home made and wasn’t deep fried (or only lightly), salad had nice fresh zingy flavours and crunch. The salmon was a stand out, best we’ve had while in NZ. Hollondaise was also well balanced, eggs were perfectly poached. Can’t fault the lunch! Coffees also great (tho no soy milk had to choose from oat or almond for alt milks just fyi). Took a slice of tiramisu cheesecake for the drive, this did not hit the mark for us, would have preferred a more classic cheesecake flavour and texture coming thru. However didn’t want to fault them for this as the lunch was...
