Marlborough Public House is an okay spot if you're looking for a place to grab a drink or a bite to eat, though it doesn't offer anything particularly remarkable. It serves its purpose but doesn’t stand out in any significant way.

The layout of the place is a bit unusual. There’s a small outside area which can be pleasant on a nice day, but it’s quite limited in space. Inside, there appears to be a dance floor, but it's oddly filled with stools, making the space feel cluttered and somewhat confused in its purpose. This weird flow might make it a bit challenging to navigate during busy times.

The partitioned restaurant seating area offers a bit more structure, but it doesn’t quite make up for the overall disjointed feel of the establishment. The food and drinks are acceptable—neither outstanding nor disappointing. The menu has the typical pub fare, so you’re likely to find something to satisfy your hunger, but don’t expect to be wowed.

In summary, Marlborough Public House is a passable option if you're in the area and need a place to relax for a bit. It's functional, but the odd layout and average offerings mean you probably won't go out of your...

I looked around Blenheim to find the busiest pub Friday afternoon and this place seemed to have the most people so I went in. It was busy with after work groups but also several diners. The decor was nice and newish with lots of timber furniture. I ordered a drink and like most NZ drinking establishments they had a heap of beers that I have never heard of before. I usually order an IPA. The drink was $12, which I consider an outrageous price for a beer but this is an average price in NZ. I sat inside at a bar like table as there were no free small tables.the people next to me were loud but the establishment was generally low in volume and I did notice any music playing and no band.

There were two outdoor seating areas. One on the veranda I think it was a smoking area. The other outdoor area was grass with a few tables and no roof.

Overall a pleasant pub,...

Dear Sonja Beardsley I hope you had a great weekend so far. Thank you for spending your time to review us. Sadly it's not a satisfied review. Here are the facts so other diners don't misunderstand our newly business. Staffs team included Chef team are remain working with us. This team has been worked here at least 2 years. If you didn't enjoy the meal recently you made me wonder. As we have rich experiences in hospitality and food. We have made improvements of the food. For example before they sell Hoki fish, right now we sell orange roughly. We use black garlic to enhance the flavor in many dishes. We have upgraded the prawns size etc. Be kind, as you have no idea how much effort pp put into their business. We works 12 - 16 hours a day to try to make this place work like how we want. You have a great day & enjoy the sunshine...

4 of us visiting Blenheim from the North Island for the wine and food festival, searched online for somewhere to book on the Friday night, well I am glad we booked, the place was packed out, we ordered cocktails to start.... amazing drinks, and right from the start the service was 110% on point, then it was entrees and a bottle of bubbles on ice, and onto the mains and desert, the atmosphere, the drinks, the food, the service cannot be faulted, we were all so impressed and will definitely return here on our next trip.

Went here for lunch with family. Very spacious inside. Not a bad place. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the food was ok. Very nice fries. A bit of a wait for the food even with it not looking very busy. I would return again for drinks and sides, as it seemed to cater more to the bar side of things, but probably not for a full meal.
