Ginny is the NDC experience!! I was traveling solo for my birthday and after getting in to Gin in the last 12 months I decided to stop in and see if it was possible to accommodate a tasting for 1. I know how inconvenient this can be so I stressed that I was super happy to be patient, take my time and that the very busy room full of full tables was fine to be the priority. Ginny didn't hesitate to get me set up at the bar, where I could admire the beauty of the building and the gin collection on display. I not only had the most informative, fascinating and amazing experience but the gins oh my word they were incredible. I learnt so much about the flavour profiles I prefer and walked away with a selection to bring back home with me. I told Ginny that when I saw all the reviews raving about her I was hoping she was on and she was amazed to hear of all this praise she is getting and that people are using these reviews to inform their visits. Gin - incredible! Building - Stunning Ginny - a real gem 💎 NDC - Highlight of my trip I haven't stopped raving about it and recommending it to all my friends and colleagues...anyone that will listen really.

We attended the gin and high tea, it was a flavour and humor filled extravaganza. The self proclaimed fawlty towers humor event lived up to the marketing and delivered even more. An incredible space with a cozy feel, great for private events or a quiet drink in Ahuriri. The hospitality is second to none, come in and feel like a part of the family with the boss Blair and Ginny. I live just down the road and am quietly astounded that I hadn't been here earlier. We're looking forward to many more events enjoyed in this authentic art deco space.

We had a superb afternoon gin and rum tasting with Ginny our host. She was very obliging when she knew that I had some National Distillery gins already and went out of her way to make sure I had new gins to try. Her knowledge around the rums and gins she was serving was immense. Ginny’s bubbly and passionate personality made the difference and we would recommend a visit to the National Distillery if you are in Napier.

Lovely place for a gin tasting! The hall is very nice and there's a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, but without being overbearing or pressuring at all.

There's a big range of gins and you can say which you're most interested in. There were a few we really liked, and it was so nice that you can taste them with tonic water, like how I actually drink it. They were so generous that we had to say stop at some point or we wouldn't have made it home!

We bought a reasonably priced gift set of 3x200ml, which I really liked as you can so often only buy 50ml bottles when you want taster sizes. We were also able to choose the sorts we wanted in it. Highly...

We came here after we had won an auction at a fundraiser, for the local Cranford Hospice, to attend a gin tasting and tour.

Totally not what we were expecting. The hertiage building that houses the distillery is stunning, and representative of a time gone by.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome with the staff seemingly more like friends. Tentive, Obliging and knowledgeable.

Even though we had won a fabulous selection of gins to take home, we decided to purchase more to share with friends and family.

Overall it was a great afternoon. If you enjoy gin you will absolutely find a favorite here, within the small batch and carefully crafted...
