AVOID, staff member extremely unprofessional.

First the good things. The place is beautiful decorated, is wide and it has a great terrace. They also have a very decent variety of beers.

Now the cons... We where by the terrace when the waitress came around for another round, looking clearly drunk. We could see her going back inside to a table, of which I imagine they were her friends, and having shots... We were waiting for around 20-30 for our order to come...as she didn't bring it, we made signs for her to come and when she approached us she mention she had completely forgotten of what we ordered, she was dismissive and defensive. For the second time she left without writing anything down... Not a surprise when she brought the wrong beer... When my partner approached the bar to change it she claimed it was what he ordered, so he talked to the other barman and he changed it. When we were leaving the bill didn't match with what we have had, to what we were reluctant to pay for things we haven't had and the barman wasn't very emphatic with this...

Is a pity that this beautiful place has such a poor customer service. She made everything harder for us, herself and her team members. Very disappointing.

Probably not...

This has been one of my highlights of wellington actually, the ultimate craft beer bar with 40 taps, with the most amazing, friendly, attentive staff, and outstanding food (we ordered the salt and pepper squid snack, and it was so good and fresh and cooked to perfection we ordered another).

The bar has great ambience, great music (literally 6 songs in a row I said "I love this song") and super cool posters of all the types of beer brands on the wall to look at in this craft beer mecca. There's plenty of seating outside, inside, leaners at the bar and additionally some 20+ very comfy booths so something for everyone. Even the bathrooms are awesome.

Nothing more to say really can't...

One of few places I've walked out of, still hungry and with a lost face. I had two business visitors from West Island and wanted to show them a part of Welly's excellent F&B scene. With more beers on tap and a regular Tuesday night, what could possibly go wrong. After 15 minutes of waiting we managed to get a menu but not even a glass of water. Staff saw us over and over but never made an effort to actually approach us. The place was not overly busy and there were plenty of staff. After at least 10 minutes of additional waiting to order we made the decision to get some food -elsewhere. There are so many fantastic places in wellington, I won't waste my time here...

Fork and Brewer was where we headed to for our continuation of the craft beer scene in Wellington. Having visited Heyday Beer Co, we found Fork and Brewer to be a larger, full-scale restaurant with much more beers and food on offer… After going through the Fork and Brewer Menu, we decided on the Cocoa Chocolate Milk Stout ($12.5) which is a collaboration with Wellington Chocolate as well as the NZGA (New Zealand Grape Ale) #2 with Sauvignon Blanc ($11) which is a collaboration with Fairmont Estate. No. 1 is the Chardonnay Brut IPA, No. 2 is the Sauvignon Blanc Brut IPA while No.3 is the Chardonnay Double IPA... For more details of this review, visit 2bearbear today!

After a morning of exploring Wellington and avoiding the cruise ship crowds, it was great to find a spot that was bright and sunny and friendly. Upstairs (do they have an elevator?) is a pretty massive dining room with lots of booths, some big tables and a balcony area in the Sun. Not quite ready for a big meal, I had a beer and a plate of the jalapeno poppers. They arrived after only 6 minutes, hot and fresh from the fryer. Delicious and a little spicy with a tangy dipping sauce, it went well with my pilsner. I stayed at Fork & Brewer for about an hour and enjoyed my time. This is a peaceful spot and the beer was delicious!
